Pakhan's crack doesn't seem to work for me either. I got everything newest and I installed everything in this order:

- Gothic 3 polish
- patch 1.12
- community patch v1.5
- Pakhan's crack

This way, after I start the game and splash screen disappears, I got black screen for a while and then... Back to desktop. No gothic3.exe process running. I've tried removing all lines from intro.ini (however this file names)

Tried varios combination of crackfiles. Found out that the exe of the 1.12 crack seems to work better. That means it works after a few runs. Seems to be a random effect :confused:

Strange, first I got the error too, but when I tried to launch it again, it started. :O

The only problem is when skipping the movies at the beginning. It crashes to desktop. So you need to let those pesky movies to roll.

Strange, I have no probs skipping them with ESC.

Try to reduce the movies to a few (0, 1) of their first frames with some software. (That's what I do in my rips...)

are you guys talking about the v1.12 crack or the v1.5 crack? also do any you people have trouble starting the game? specifically the error i get: "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005)."

check dep, check compatability mode, check directx / drivers are up to date...
check game is properly installed... all of the above can cause a 0xC0000005 error
(In Page Error).....

dep doesn't matter, comp mode doesn't work, DX up 2 date, no errors, driver up 2 date too, game properly installed. ;D
As I said after a few trys the game starts but the netxt time I try it won't! ???
Skipping vids is no problem (but making the game start so I can see vids is one)
got no idea what the problem is.

I have Radeon X800GTO with catalyst 7.10 and win Vista

hmm cant remember, but was it protected with xprot as well? if so, that *could* be the issue (especially for vista users)

DEP aint the problem, checked it. drivers are up 2 date. gets past 0xC0000005 error when started in compatibility modes but freezes at the logo. if it gets past that, then it freezes at a black screen. game is installed correctly. during installation, though, you have to install a directx that has special files specifically for the game. does that replace the newest direct x (for xp)?

1.5 patch and 1.5 crack. Yes I get that error too a lot. It's superweird, because sometimes the game just starts after a few of those error even though _nothing_ has changed. This is not how computers are supposed to work... :)

I just like try to start it and get the error. Again and error. Then I like start mozilla or whatever and try again and tada G3 starts...?

The newest DirectX at this moment is 9.21 (Nov 2007). See the version number of X3DAUDIO1_2.DLL in the Windows system directory. If you have a previous version, see the forum FAQ for the DirectX download URL.

Hello, a new (I think) problem.
The CP works fine, but when I use the nocd patch, I'm not seeing my savegames anymore :confused:

They are in the right folder, and if I restore the files from the CP, I can load my savegames... I can also use the nocd for the 1.12 official patch and see my saved games, but I lose some advantages of the CP :(

Some ideas??

Use FileMon to see what files the v1.5 crack is trying to access and compare it with how the v1.5 patch or the v1.12 patch/crack accesses files.
