Might have a fix here guys. Unplug your joysticks or gamepads. Go to Windows Update and get your critical updates. A bunch of new ones today. One of which is the Net 2 framework update. Reboot and all that **** and then you might need to reinstall and you should be good to go.

and tell them i use a no cd , they will go to use technical term "bananas" :D if i don't use it i get a starforce error so either way iam screwed. iam between a starfore error and a screwed up registery.......grrr most annoyed as been having this prob for days and game look so goo o boo hoo :(

So you are not only having problems with the wrong game starting, you are having problems with the wrong protection message??
The game is protected with Securom. ;)

Does the game start properly when using the original discs to play?

Pardon for jumping in but it sounds like the .exe have been switched somehow but its showing a different icon in the case of bobs rdogs. Have you tried replacing the nocd again and take a look at the location of where properties for the game .exe.

yup, thats a possibility, or bob has competely screwed up his pc :).. (or a mix of the 2).. same happens when using the virgin exe (ie: protected original) bob?

I used to have a problem where when I started the autorun for certain games it used to start my ATI drivers installer instead!! And the problem wasnt limited to just one type of installer either.
The games did however install correctly if I just skipped the autorun and installed straight from the Setup.exe.
The problem turned out to be with my ATI card. I completely uninstalled the drivers, removed any entries from the registry and reinstalled.
Everything fixed. :)

Just something worth considering and its why I asked if you had an ATI card Bob. ;)

Download the correct drivers for your card from the ATI site.

Then go to this page and scroll down to the Red Links (under the Software Installation title), choose which one applies to your card which is most likely 'Radeon'.
Then follow the guide to completely remove and reinstall the drivers.

thanks did as instructed still to no avail o woe is me will never be fixed i guess, will wait until i can rub to pennies together and buy it for ps2.

Camera Issues
 

I downloaded the Reloaded version of the Scarface - The world is yours PC Game. Everything works fine using DT 4 and all emulations on " if and only if i dont restart the game"
If i restart the game after a fresh install it gets to the load profile and then after my character spawns the Camera starts spinning and doesnt stop.

I assume this a copy protection issue with secureROM, I have the latest Daemon Tools and all latest hardware drivers, any help would be appreciated.

Also. I tried loading both with, and without, the crack exe file, and the game loads and operates with each but i still have the same issue with both .exe files

o dear downloading the game is a big no no
