This game is nice, works fine with DT4.03 and a mini-image I found (I couldnt make one for some reason :\)


Its actually a nice mix of RTS and RPG. Until it crashed when trying to goto dwarf lands :|

I don't think it is a backup-problem or a problem with the mini image etc.

Tell it to the publisher ;)

I remember SpellForce 1 being rather buggy, at least when using v1.0, there was no patch available before i finished the game entirely...
I do not yet dare buying the game, the 1st one was really great, but w/ SF 3, I will probably need some time to consider if it is worth 45€ :)

did you totally gave up cracking with appearance of these mini image files and is it just all we get?

or it's just tempoary solution before standard crack is relised?

It runs with a mini image ok, you wrote.

And the ingame-rest is redundantly.
What does it care? The questions of this thread are, if it runs without DVD, mini image, cracks etc.

I was informing people it works with a mini-image, its not that hard to understand.


And there is an unfortunate bug in the game, that was just extra information not related to the mini-image.


The reason I said about post count is because ive been around for years and years, I wouldnt post about a silly bug in a game :rolleyes:

As I read your post with the mini image and your crash, I was a litte bit confused (confused, not under drugs).
I made a connection with 2 things, which haven't any connection.
And my answer wasn't any type of attack.

But your answer wasn't very fine.
And so, my answer wasn't so friendly, too.
So you can also think about it ;)

No idea about you. Sure 2,715 posts are nice.

Hi .. can any of u help me pls...

I tried the game on 2 computers.
1'st: installed the game from original, started game, STARFORCE sais something about aditional libraries, I pressed OK (original in drive). I removed original, mounted mini ALL fine.. played the game.

2'nd computer: installed the game from original, started game, I removed original, mounted mini, STARFORCE sais something about aditional libraries, I pressed OK (original not in drive, mini mounted).

in 2'nd case i start the game (original or mini) starforce passes, game wants to start but b4 cursor turns to GAME HAND CURSOR (black screen) i get a error sound. I ALT+TAB &there's an error : "Protection violation error".

No uninst/reinst asked me for those libraries anymore.. could be those, could be something elese, graphic card...

Unfortunatly 2'nd comp is mine.. so .. pls addvice.

Only 1 copy per machine as it states in the EULA, so no help here.

How does Spellforce 2 run on ur PCs ?
If tried all methods that u 've released for that problem but it doesnt work on my PC... :(

So I have Mini-Images in Alcohol 120 % and Demon Tools but it doesnt work ! If i start spellforce 2 , the activation protection starts....
And now I wanna know if somebody has an FixExe for it , I think that could solve my problem ....

And by the way , from where do u have the game ? :confused:

I get it from Gamesload thats an german LEGAL page to download games ! But not for free ! And i bought spellforce 2 there but u know its without dvd so i want to make a backup ! I know its was a fool idea to buy it from there but u know i'm to lazy to go to a shop (i dont live near an big city) !

And now i want a good Mini-Image ! But when i put the first MiniImage into demaonTools something was wrong because the GameActication Protection started again ,k i have the cdkey but i have to activate it again ! !! :eek: And u can just activate it one time !

These so called "digital download" games are protected in a very different way than those on physical media (CD, DVD). You get an activation key and you can install the game N times and then you have to buy a new key again (a waste of money), right?

In such a case, a mini/maxi image won't help you at all because the copy protection (rather: the activation system) is not even interested in checking any physical media! I think that, for this reason, digital download is simply a bad choice, even if very comfortable. (Imagine what you will do five-ten-twenty years later when support for this game is dropped and you won't be able to buy new activation keys!)

(If what I wrote above is true, shall it be added to the FAQ? If you have any more useful information, let's add that, too!)

At first I think it was a good idea but now ... Never ever again ! Okay i mean I 've copy the whole install files so that I dont have to download it again (i think that is one of the important things to do if u download such files...) but I didnt know that u dont can use ur key many times becuase u have to enter ur cdkey and then u get an activation key so if u lose ur actiovation key ur cdkey is useless , so the install file is also useless...

But all in all I'm to blame for that because I shouldnt have had try to protect my game...

The thing with the FAQ is a good idea...
