I've already tried all of the above suggestions and I can honestly say that none of them work at all..... We need a proper 1.03 fixed exe file...

I agree...this is getting ridiculas for me to have to take my brothers cd's to play...

So it is only a thing of time, until it will be available @ GCW!

the crack is from ABSENTiA and as far as i can tell it works fine, at least for singleplayer.

didn't work for me:mad: ...i run the game and then the process runs for like 5 seconds then ends itself....:mad:

I have the original boxed F.E.A.R. DVD and I uses a Mini-Image Mounted
with DTools v4.03 + Daemon ANTISECUROM v1.0. The game works 100%
without the original DVD.

@epps14: You should try without the crack; perhaps, that crashes, too? Read the FAQ on some ideas.

no crashing at'all when i use the original cd 5 mate...the crack just dont work for me...

Ive just been using the 1.03 NoCD and it works fine.
I did a fresh install of the game, only cause I didnt have it installed, then installed the v1.03 update, then swapped the exe's, then played.
No problems. ;)

The crack works fine for me up until I try to play multiplayer then I get an error message saying "cannot download FEARE_2.arch00". Can anyone help or just enlighten me as to why this is? I seem to have that file in my F.E.A.R directory so I can't figure out why it needs to try to download it!

99% of NoCD cracks do not work for online play!
Use the original disc or a mounted mini/maxi/full image to play online.

Ah, fair enough! This is the first time I've come across a game not working online but thanks for your help. Guess I'll just have to keep reaching for the dvd! Cheers.

Well, i bought fear a while a ago then, when i started to want to play without the cd (i got too many games :p) i used CureRom Pro. And it still working perfectly today, with version 1.3.1, even online and hopefully coz im playing on multiplayer mode mainly.

I'm happy to say that it works for me too. Great game as well!
