Confirmed working on English version.
 

Just another confirmation that the Japanese NoDVD exe does indeed work fine on the English version.

I renamed the file from NFSMW.exe to speed.exe and replaced the original speed.exe (renaming the original speed.exe to speed.exe.bak, for future updates ;) ) and voila, all works fine. :) No more images or protection hiders needed.

As mentioned in one of the replies above, the only difference I noticed is that Josie's little disclaimer warning at the start of the game has subtitles, but that's it.

My originals are the Black Edition on CD.....just in case that means anything.

Sh1t i forgot to backup the 1.2 exe, i hope it will let me update in future.

I got this little puppy running by renaming it, and setting to Win2000 compatiblity... :-)

Just rename it to speed.exe. Also apply the offical 1.3 patch (http://www.electronic-arts.de/publis...1491&spieleid=)
It must work, because I have also the German DVD-Version!!!

My friend had a problem. The exe-file caused an error. So I startet the game via compatibility-mode (option: windows 2000) and it worked properly.

Safedisc 4 (4.5 and 4.60 version) are not uncrackable.Not only Civ4 as been cracked see also CALL OF DUTY 2,GUN are been cracked AND ALSO USING Safedisc 4.6.
Safedisc 4 is not Starforce.
I dont know why the crack groups (Reloaded,Deviance,IND,TNT,Silendgate...) havent cracked games like FIFA06,FIFA MANAGER 06,BLACK AND WHITE 2,DRAGONSHARD,NBA 06,MADDEN 06,AND SPECIALY FOOTBALL MANAGER 2006 YET???:mad:

I downloaded the 1.3 patch, patched the game up, and then i downloaded the japanese exe crack. I put it in my folder, and reneamed to speed.exe, The problem is that everytime i start the exe it says "speed.exe has encountered a problem and needs to be closed" When i click on view error report it lists some things like "AppVer: 0.0.0.0, ModVer: 0.0.0.0, Offset:00000f25" I tryed leaving it named nfsMW.exe, but when i tried to launch it i still got the same error. "has encountered a problem, and needs to be closed". This happens no matter where i open the exe from, even when i open it stright out of the winrar file, or from the NFSMW directory, or the shortcut. I know yall got this to work perfectly. And i know theres something im missing. Would appreciate any help, thanks

Both Gun and COD2 were released by Activision and they basically screwed the protection over...by mistake or lack of knowledge, I don't know....Caki pretty much said it

A first look at NFS:MW gives me the impression that something similar can be "applied" here, maybe that's what happened with that chinese crack.

Yeah works, After trying all that shit-(i overlooked the simplest thing),lol, I finally switched compatability on the exe to Win 2k on the exe and shortcuts and it worked perfectly on the 1.3 patched version. The only difference is the opening subtitles, and thats basically it. I had one question though, If theres ever another update, will i have to replace the exe with the original while installing, or updates will be fine? thanks

Activision never protected API's in COD2?? I thought activision used standard safedisc(no sdapi), hence all the deviance crack ;)

Anyways, just looked at this crack. This is a loader crack, so nothing new :( Macrovision will just update, and this method will probably become obsolete.

I didnt need to set compat mode for win 2000 and never have with NFS-MW through any build,mines was 1.2 anyhow as its black edition this its perfect, no more maxi image in DTv4 for me. :)

Hmm, seems not to work....

But thats no big prob cause I do have a playable Image from my DVD. The Crack would only be needed in case of getting some space back on the HD! :cool:

the crack works sweet for me...but seems to make the game load slower :S

i also noticed no trainers work wihen this crack is in use.
