Those files are the old 1.0 cracks.
The new patch make changes to the .exe file so the game won't be patched if you use the old cracks.

It's been a while since the 1.0b patch were released and we still haven't got a new crack for it... :(

Yup, the files are still 1.0 cracks. WTF?

and the size of the download is 12.2MB. Ergo, almost all of the changes in the 1.0b patch were made to the executable, so there's very little point using the original fixed exe with the patch in this case. :(

To those who have installed the patch and haven't played the game since - a re-install will not overwrite your saved games.

So it's not such a big deal for most players that we don't have a 1.0b no-cd patch yet. However, anyone with an Intel i915 chipset will be frustrated, and there were about half a dozen gameplay issues fixed (most of the fixes were cosmetic stuff, art issues, text/voice mismatches, etc)

Besides, most of the fixes were for dark side issues, and frankly, you mess with the dark side of the force, you get what's coming. :p

I guess I could just use Alcohol 120% to make a copy of the cd image, but I'm reaaaally running low on HD space and don't need to needlessly squander that space with a cd image. Also, doesn't mounting an image take up system resources?

I'm still watiing for crack to v 1,0b cos i have a terrible problem. when i want to travel to any planet my game crashes?! i'm trying this on 3 computers and everywhere is the same result (i see windows desktop)!!
i hope that patch will help me!

What patch? It doesn't look like one is going to be made if no one has done it by now.

Well actually we've been waiting since April14th as thats when the 1.0b upgrade came out. But it does seem like forever doesn't it :D

After the patch,I finally got into playing it bug free mostly.......but had been using the CD,I didn't know it was being problematic to get a fix for.

All I know,is that I never could get an image of the play disc to work,and I ripped using every method known to the internet a month ago and gave up.

Ive since uninstalled it,I got bored with it anyway......the first one was
classic....this one is just buggy and the ending is....well...bad.

I hope BIOWARE gets involved with the next one.

Someone is on it now, to make a no-cd for the game. :eek:

Hopefully more than one person is working on it, just to make sure one comes out. But either way, I hope its out soon.

Well he had no luck, so hopefully someone more experienced is working on a fix.
