Problem using ripkit/tutorial from http://backuptools.co.uk/

I got what seems like a perfect rip but it freeze in the same spot way way far into in the game and I've tried the rip twice with the same results.

The freeze happens after you obtain the second necklace key in the room with all the spikes, when you exit the cave, drop down the rope, and head into the next cave the game freezes. From here I can open the cd tray, close the tray and after a few more stutters it unfreezes, however onces I cross the cirular spinning bridges I freeze again exiting the cave and have not been able to get passed this freeze.

The rip is supposed to eliminate the dual layer and fit the game onto a standard DVD-R disk, I'm using Ridata.

Does this happen to everybody or is it just me?

Never played the Rip version but I don't think it's a Perfect Copy B/c I heard that Movies are Ripped out unless they're majorly down sampled?

Just the Bonus movies are ripped.

Can I make a perfect copy with a dual layer disk? If I can, do I need any special software burn it in a special way or is it the same as any other ps2 game?

I never got it fixed Slick. But I did notice something when I decided to play from the original disk again just to finish up my game. On the back up, when you exit the cave that leads to the game permanantly freezing, you end up freezing outside in a bright sunny area. With the original disk you wouldn't be in that location just yet, you would be staring at a open hole in the side of a cave wall with a small ledge you'd have to jump up on to reach the hole leading to the outside. So for some bad reason it's loading up the wrong section in that area and then freezing.

Also, I should note that during both attempts with this backup guide the extractor tool crashed to a "send error report" the first time and then went smoothly upon re-running it. This may be the source of the problem?

The Extractor Tool never crashed on my computer.

Yeah, okay dude, when the game goes into a long loading process just what a couple of minutes and it should load. This worked for me at all the long loading points, such as after you obtain the second necklace.

hey tyler....how do i find the offset sequence 699468 and the 01 00 so that i can patch it to 25 02. i am hella stuck at this point..haha :p
