Testy testy. I think I was fair when I said I didn't know what the heck I was doing. I will try that and see if it works. And thank you again for your help.

lufcfan 05-01-2005 10:30

I wasn't trying to be funny, I was just pointing out what I'd already written that's all. Sorry if it sounded a bit 'off' shall we say ;)

Skelaratus 05-01-2005 10:51

No biggie :o That is what I hate about text chatting..its to easy to be misinterpretetd. Ok, I vote we add voice chat for these forums. All those in favor? :)

seaneyb2003 05-01-2005 11:04

wouldnt be logically possiable.

Skelaratus 05-01-2005 11:14

Well sorta...my job is currently doing it for tech support for handicapped people. We have a "forum" so to say and it allows them to click on something and have the text for the post "read" to them. Kinda cool. Also, during live chat, we have the capability to send voice IM's. Something along those lines would be awesome.

Ok, back on track. Do I burn both the .bin and the .cue on the cd-rom. Plus I dont have Nero. Let me rephrase, I have Nero but never use it. Can another program do the job as well?

lufcfan 05-01-2005 11:25

Sure, you can use any program which will burn .BIN/.CUE. That's most burning programs btw. :)

Examples are:
CloneCD
Alcohol 120%
RecordNow
Fireburner

You'll need to open the .CUE file only - the .BIN is simply the data file for the .CUE

It worked like a charm :) :) :)

Thanks a lot.

lufcfan 05-01-2005 16:22

No problem. Glad it all worked out for you my friend :)

I don't think the CC has the "Macrovision Off" feature. Is this something that will be available in futuure flashes, or would a whole new series of chip need to come out?

Well thats actually one thing I never tested on my reveiw. Mainly for the simply fact that I dont use my PS2 as a DVD movie player and think its actually a waist to use the PS2 as a movie player. But to answer your question, I'm not 100% sure about this but a new flash update should be able to do this I would think.

Skelaratus 08-01-2005 14:19

lol...my house has 4 levels. The ONLY time (and it has been only 1 time so far) that I have used my PS2 for movies is when I was too lazy to walk from the basement where the PS2 is, up two flights of stairs to the family room. See that's the problem with video games...it makes me too lazy and I scoff at real exercise nowadays. I'd rather exercise my finger tips and thumbs that do that damn stair stepper anyday :) :) :)

seaneyb2003 08-01-2005 14:32

hehe lazy sod :p

Skelaratus 08-01-2005 14:35

Lazy yes, but I have the strongest fingertips in the world now...don't make me poke you buddy :) :) :)

Oh yes!!! Like I said it would be just a matter of time before they added the y-fix

Feb 4 2005, 07:05 PM We're proud to release CC firmware pack 1.2! This release brings an exciting new feature, configurable X and Y modifiers(basically "Y-Fix") for PS2 software! With this feature, you can perfectly fit import PS2 software to your TV screen. Unlike similar products which offer "Y-Fix", you our fix also allows you to specify the exact number of pixels to shift the screen so you don't have to rely on numbers that work well for other people but may not for your own TV. And in addition, the X fix(which is unique to BM) allows you to center the screen to the left/right as well!

We've also fixed a few issues relating to DVD videos and added support for the retail version of CodeBreaker v9. Please see the readme for more information. Enjoy!
You can read it yourself here

Does Matrix Infinity have the "Y-fix" mentioned here? If it doesn't, does it mean import games won't be displayed correctly as suggested here?

Thanks
