Sims2 No-CD Workaround
 

Ok.......this will have to do until the No-CD problem is fixed.

Download this MINI-ISO that works for Sims 2! (its an iso with just the safe checks on it and all proggy stuff ripped.

Now, you HAVE to be using Daemon tools 3.47 or NEWEST Alcohol version for this to work

What you do is you set those programs to emulate safedisk, then you mount this mini-iso and you go and play! Make sure your using the ORIGINAL sims2.exe in your game directory and not the bad No-CD one's or IT WON'T WORK!!



Bingo...........game plays and build mode works fine......

Hows that warez? Warez is the whole game, this isn't the game. I own the game and it won't work on my old CD-RW so whats the problem? I email Maxis and I get some "Well try another drive" bull**** response! Pardon me? TRY another drive? I only have ONE drive, so what the email is saying in translation is BUY another drive!

Yes dear company I just happen to be made of money, and I will happily buy a brand new CD drive to play your game that wasen't properly tested! Its nice to know that in the face of your errors instead of fixing the problem, you blaim me for it. So in retrospect I will rush RIGHT out the door and buy that brand new sparkling CD/DVD-RW combo drive.

You think I'm stupid? I'm glad this worked otherwise I would have had to refund my money and gotten another game. This games great! Too bad whatever funds Maxis attains from this won't go into QA testing and older format drives. My drives OLD (It burns at 4x) and it reads every other game BUT this one. Maybe when developing these CD checks they should keep older format readers in mind huh?

so u got a system that can run sims 2 with an old 4x burner? sounds dodgy to me.

I have not had a reason to update it over the years. When it breaks I will buy a new one. CD's burned at 4x just as good as ones burned at 40x

Actually Luciel I can run a copy of an old teac 4x scsi burner as well, reason is the burner is not mcc compliant.

ha ha,,www.aria.co.uk sell brand new cd-rom's for only £15 a brand new lite-on 52x writer costs only £20 l.o.l u tight c.u.n.t (giggles) the game cost me £34.99 u could buy 2 roms for that

If you find out that you are unable to do anything in build mode, like build a foundation, walls, windows, Doors, or anything then your Sims2.exe files has been corrupted. This can happen for a number of reasons, one of the most prominent is if you are using a 3rd party "Patch", "Hack", or "Mod" that changes or replaces this file or add additional files to your game. :eek:

Does anybody else get an error, after mounting the fixed image with Daemon tools, saying that CD/DVD Emulation software was detected and to remove it?

How do I find B314X? I looked all over EFnet, I need to ask B314X how I can rip all the main data from a safedisk image. that must take some skill :)

I have the following problem with Sims2. I maked Backup-Copies of my original ones and tried to install the game from them, but he still asks for disk1. I did the same with the original ones and it worked fine. Is there already a copy-protection within the installation routine?
Is ist possible to make a copy that installs fine with GameJack?
