Hmmm, maybe you're right, the key you enter may need to match up with the key thats on the CD (image in this situation).
Different original CD origins may have different keys on the CD.

omfgirox 10-08-2004 00:09

starforce game has no protection on online-play?
the key is just to find its matched-cd?
:D :D :D

1. Uninstall any previous installation of the game.
2. Uninstall starforce; use starforce cleaner. (sfclean.exe).
=> One reboot. Turn off your PC and =>
3. Disconnect - physically; pull the ide cable from all your hardware based optical drives (cd/dvd/burners).
Disabling them in bios will not work with winxp.
4. Mount and install the game with Daemon tools 3.46.
5. Mount the DISC_1.mds image with Daemon tools 3.46.
6. Run the game => One reboot.
7. Run the game. => Enjoy!

Each disc does have it's own key but with the image sgtshaft provided, it seems to look past it.

Sorry but i dont understand ...

-> i got the Image
-> CLEAN starforce
-> disable Drives
-> bind the image in Daemon Tools
-> Reboot
-> Want to start " Error NO DISK INSERTED "

What to do ? :(

Joe Forster/STA 10-08-2004 07:14

Hey Nikeless,

Unless you enabled "Automount" in Daemon Tools, you gotta mount images again and again, after each reboot!

Joe

Nikeless 10-08-2004 08:02

I know ... it was on auto mount and it doesnt work pls help me i dont know what i did wrong ...

Jatta 10-08-2004 08:46

@MarsTheGod66
Cause; first I just uninstalled starforce. And no go: "No disc". Thereafter an uninstall of the game/reinstall: 5 secs of blinking and the game was up and running after the verification reboot.
Technically I can't give you the answer.

MarsTheGod66 10-08-2004 11:55

@JATTA

your game didnt work cause you uninstalled starforce
the next time u installed the game, starforce was installed again and the game worked then

if u remove starforce, then the game wont work...

omfgirox 10-08-2004 12:24

hey , what is starforce and its cleaner :confused: :D :D

WailinChieftain 10-08-2004 13:15

Starforce is a nasty little copy protection system. It's a set of hidden device driver that are installed when you first start up the game. It's cleaner gets rid of the drivers.

It should work, Im playing on network with my brothers.. so .. it owns.. except for some bugs :(

Sometimes my mouse3 is bugged and I cant turn for **** anymore.. VERY annoying :(

If the next version, which will if Im right add new modes and multiplayer online, owns, I will definitely buy this game.

The only con is that its going a bit slow because my bro's dont really have good pc's :P And my bro with the worst pc has to host, else we are probably too fast for him :(

But some good news, it is a generic hack it can be used on all starforce games. Alas toca might prove a bit more difficult as its on DVD.

Well, Im not so sure about that.. I downloaded Kill.Switch, but this crack doesnt work for that one, which also has the starforce protection ****. If you happen to find a crack for it on some chinese forums, please email me ([email protected]) :)

@MarsTheGod66
Yes. You are right. So I had to sit back and figure out what I exactly did. And I tell you I tried a lot of things which caused a hell lot of rebootings based on burned cd's on different cd/dvd drives. So when the the image came along I'm sure of that I tried three different things. The image with daemon on the installed game ("No disc"), uninstalling starforce ("No disc") and finally uninstalling the game and got it working through a fresh installation. All these trials with optical drives physically disconnected.

Anyhow - I hope you all get the game up and running.
