actually they didnt, setup.exe was renamed to setup.cab on the ims version and ims used their own setup.exe to handle the protection, obviously on the german release the setup.exe is the proper 643mb one, so you could try renaming it to setup.cab, remastering the disk, adding ims' setup.exe and seeing if that works, it probably wont though as im sure jowood varied the protection slightly for each country

It didn´t works. I rename the german setup.exe into setup.cab and starts the cracked setup.exe. The setup starts but the cd check is alway on.

I hate the german game industrie !!! Every Game was modified and censort.

Because when I want to reply or start a new thread with my first account, HeDbAnGeR, the sys sais I have permission to. I did not try to reply to a closed topic, and I used the other account only two times or so, and I`ve neither broken the board rules nor used bad language.

The official status of your account HedBanger is "waiting to receive email confirmation". Did you ever receive the confirmation email when registering ? And if you did, did you click on the link inside to confirm your registration ?

Edit : there may have been a database problem, setting your official status back to "awaiting email confirmation". In any case, I asked Empire to put you back to registered user status. Can you try your HedBanger account ? It should work again now...

OK, been getting a lot of PM's for this game this week, so I'm guessing its just come out in America.. Anyways, its a waste of time me sending the exes out. Read Tippex's comment at the top of this page as to why it is....

New workaround for chaser install problems
 

Hay guys I was having a hell of a time installing chaser until I did this:

before doing anything open your c: drive for me it's my computer C:\ in a window.
Now install the game when you at the end of installing you get the cd authentication message hit alt-tab open the c: window you had now go to the jowood dir and copy all the files paste them to another directory then hit ctrl-alt-del and close the chaser install. go to the new chaser dir when you copied everything and apply the no-cd patch and bam you got it I tried evrthing before this but this is how I got it to work.
