hey,how can we have so many people telling us that have problems with copying 2,51 with these burners and just take 1 ocasion in 100...how strabge huh?

i wouldnt be surprised. of course, since i have a subpar other cdrom to read w/.......i cant test it out

i have tested it reading from other sources but always fails and always give me the same error: df34534.tmp error ( or something like)on my toshiba dvd sd-m1402. Don't know were is the problem..maybe TLA maybe windows..don't know.

I'm quite desperate

(All other backups with securom new, laserlock v5 and starforce are no problem but this version is getting me mad!!!!!!!!!!

New news:
There's a new firmware revision out for the Plex 24X. It's only available at the Japanese site at the moment. You can download it from there (will work OK) or wait for your native country's release.

I haven't tested it yet - fingers crossed that the Plex team have fixed the little glitch.

if this happens i am going to go and by a new burner...let's hope it happens....

Plexes seem to be very strange.
How fortunate that i have a Creative.
Doesnt even have RAW-Mode...

plextor will never release a firmware update that allows 2.51 copying, according to cdfreaks. they say its a chipset thing, and they are usually right.

Think that a new realease of firmware will not change any more things.This is a Primary Burning Chipset issue so only software will do the job. Now it seems that macrovision prepared it sfv2.51 version to knock down plextors. Let's hope Olli will found an alternative way soon.
