Hey is it possible to add .gif files during Installer Designer. Like we have options to add JPEG or PNG or Multi, if you can put the option for GIF. Please tell me when will get the update version of Installer Creator 2.8 without any bugs?

I got Biology and English exam on the 24th and 25th of November respectively. Then thereafter my calender will be programming each and everyday till some day next year, because I have to see which Varsity/University am I going to.

I am glad that you have liked my tutorial and I was also going to create the video tutorial but I was waiting for the new Installer Creater 2.8 get fixed with bugs. Your video is amazing. Whigh software have you used to create this video. How did u added the words and the graphics at the beginning and at the end. I want to learn for my other projects.

Can anyone tell me how can I extract Yener90's already created setup files or you can say installer or any installer or setup file? Like if I create a setup with the help of Installer Creator then how can I extract it to check the files has been used? I am not talking about the zip file, let me clear. Check the screenshot below.

You can just google for ISUnpacker.
Or just go to temp directory and look for files extracted by setup when running, the inno setup files are packed in folders that start with is-....
You cannot use ISunpacker if Inno Setup Enhanced edition was used to compilation.
You also cannot get images from temp if botva2 protect library was used.

Looks like your trying to unpack REV0's Wolfenstein installer, what exactly were you hoping to get out of it?

I am finishing my exams tomorrow.
I just installed Delphi 2007 for small applications, RAD Studio CodeGear 2009 for Inno Setup DLLs, RAD Studio XE3 for Installer Creator and RAD Studio XE7 for Future programs like Advanced Setup Creator.

I am not hoping to get something out of it. I was just thinking, if I can extract the files then I could try to learn something from it. Thats all. If you think it is funny, then it is not. If you can help then it will be great, otherwise thank u very much.

I think you have misunderstood me, I wasn't trying to be funny but was genuinely interested on what you were trying to get a hold of.

As for learning, I myself re-created REV0's conversion 'exactly' the same except for a few changes, I didn't use the music he used, I instead preferred the original music which accompanied the original game installer. I also fixed some the sloppy details like the buttons on the first screen not having the same pixel count between each button. I re-created it as my own learning experiment as REV0 tends to use all elements of CIU2. I had requested REV0 via his own Wolfenstein thread if he could do a separate Setup.exe to suit 6xDVD9, I even supplied the file list for him, but he didn't bother responding so I did it myself.

P.S: I currently have Wolfenstein installed and renamed registry entries to enable me to take the screenshots, however I wasn't about to actually install the game again just to be able to take the rest of the screenshots of the game installing, but they are exactly the same pics which REV0 used, these pics are easily found on the net and are a 'simple cut and paste' procedure, there is nothing hard about any of it if you just give it a go yourself. ;)

Apologies for the large screenshots above, will resize them later, don't have time to do them at the moment. ;)

I just want to check the buttons he used and the codings in a readme file or in a notepad and also how he used the music equalizer with close and minimize option altogether. There is no pdf or proper instructions with screenshot available to learn how to use yener90's CIU V2. Evern CIU V2 is also not available.

to get all 3 buttons together he just uses same position ( top ) but then just spaces them together.
say the width is 20 ( all just an example )

equalizer would start top=500, left=500, then minimize top=500, left=525 ( first button + space+width of button ), last close top=500, left=550. ( second button + spsce + width of button ) ...

Top position depends on the size of the image of course...

Firstly, I can not give you CIU2, yener does not want it freely shared to the public. I made a promise to yener that I would not share it and I intend to stick to that promise. Sorry.

As for the Exit, Minimize and Equalizer all appearing to sit in the same rectangle box, well that is just an illusion. There is a simple way of tricking people to make it look like it is one button which does 3 different things.
The rectangle box they sit in is part of the background pic, See the pic below.
It is just a transparent image sitting on top of the background image. The 2 buttons and equalizers co-ordinances are configured so they sit inside that rectangle.

The Language box (the flags box) on the first image in my previous posts with the screenshots is done the same way, again its just a transparent box sitting on top of the background image, its all part of the same pic. ;)

Hi Razor, hope your exams are finished and you did well. Now it is time for Installer Creator to be sorted and also create a new Installer Creator which will the best of all time. We know you can do it.

Guys. I decided to start another project, I noticed that Installer Creator has a lot of bugs and some of them are kinda difficult to fix.
I have let you guys down but I will make it up to you guys, I will create something better than Installer Creator within a short period of time, maybe a week.
A fresh start is needed. Advanced Setup Creator will take over from here.

I am so excited, the program might continue, sorry guys but it is just that, XE3 failed to start, on whatever PC I used, with or without update, same problem and that prevented me to continue with Installer Creator, XE4, XE2 didn't work although they are very similar to XE3 but I finally got rid of the Access Violation error on start up of the program, I also managed to make both of the programs work if installed together.

And sorry guys especially thinkbigearnbig and thanks jamel2013 for helping me fix this problem.

Yep, but I will have to discard the v2.8 source and build up upon v2.7 beta's source.

What are your requests for v2.9?

Requests for v2.9
1. Want to use GIF file for SPLASH.
2. Should have options to put extra buttons manually.
3. Not only have to increase the size of the button as Width & Height, it should also have option to curve the button.
4. Music equalizer :) if possible.
5. Bring back the flag option to change the language.
6. We should have the option to select the background pictures to be moved, like dissolve or from top or left or right or faded.
7. Options to select few music for background. Like music 1 or 2 or 3.....
8. Gif image for button to use.

Anything that has to do with GIF can't be added. GIF in Delphi vcl can't be transparent in-case if you wanted to take the advantage of transparency, those regions will just be white.

And there are a few problems when you have NVIDIA GPU, there is a funny blur in text that remains and this never happens with Intel and AMD/ATI.

The language flags I can add but, they will be different.

Let me just say, above all, your requests can only be done in ASC. The curvity of buttons and anything else, not mentioned that can not be added will be added in v2.9

If possible also try to put an option for multiple games with one installer. For an example, if I am creating Max Payne and Max Payne 2 in one installer then when will I click on Max Payne then it will go to the next page of Max Payne and same with Max Payne 2.
