Panker1992,

First of all, this whole idea of masked compression is great. But as of late, I have noticed that with the latest release, compression ratio has taken a huge hit, as I don't see the inclusion of MSC anymore. So I had to backtrack to one of your older release of Masked Compression, Likely 2.3, and took the methods from there. Can I ask you a few question in your PM, if you don't mind?

panker1992 19-02-2016 15:53

you can ask anything :D masked compression is for advanced user and there is something i havent publically told

masked compression supports names not only extensions, so with that said you can mask pretty much any name with any extension you want :D

But bro, I tell you one thing seriously, that lzt was best, can you add it also in v2.6, so users will have choice to use that also! Lzt was/is/will best!

panker1992 21-02-2016 12:17

new stuff :)

Alright :D

Masked Compression Archive is up for a few dates with some minor fixes applied to 2.5 edition

also added a new stripped edition for x86 support, xz supported zstd is also supported and msr (precomp045) is also for x86 version windows

this is far from complete but for those who use x86 will save serious space

I got this when trying to use -mbrute in v2.5

Help

Hello panker , if i want to not encrypt with password then we have to REMOVE this ( -hp -pYourpassword ) ..RIGHT or NOT ?
And also what I have to do In unmask section also

panker1992 22-02-2016 06:22

Amsal i will test brute because i really havent done brute before, but i wanted to include it

brute is precomp 043 working on brute mode and nothing else :D

SAM that is correct -hp -pYourpassword must be removed

what do you mean unmask section ??

Amsal 22-02-2016 06:27

Bro, I fixed that by replacing this

[External Compressor:precomp043]

And I wrote precomp043 in the methods instead of brute, and now it is working fine, I think you can do this in your next version.

BTW, sam2712 unmask mean is he has to do anything in the unpacking process also. BTW the answer is no

panker1992 22-02-2016 06:45

thanks Amsal :D so that fixes the problem with brute, i hope everyone will fix this !!

Hello Panker, first of all I want to thanks you for creating x86:). I had tried lots of time and I am finding this error first image is when I used Optimal compression method and second image is when I used other methods. so, would you please tell me where I'm going wrong?

I can tell you about second error, it is because i think you taken more than 1gb as input, currently reflate support maximum 1gb input. Or if not then I can't help you!

And I thin for the first error it is because xz, lower you settings might help, I can't write because I am on mobile, but panker can help you

panker1992 22-02-2016 07:48

now that i am here lets fix this once and for all :D

xz error is because of ram problem

how much ram you have i cant test this one x86 :( because i am on x64 :D

go into arc.ini and where you see d25 change it to d75m on xz

I am using Core i5-2450M, 2.50Ghz
4GB ram (3GB usable).

*Edit*
still getting the same error.

for deflate do I have to install any software? if there is any please let me know because I had not installed any specific softwares:D because I dont know.

panker1992 22-02-2016 08:17

alright lets break it to pieces :D

you got full 3 GB of ram, then try this

go to arc.ini

find the line xz

replace with this one:

packcmd = 7z a -txz -an -mcrc=0 -m1=lzma2:d15:fb=273:mf=bt4:mc=1000000:lc=4:lp=0 -mmt=on -mx9 -si -so <stdin> <stdout>
