can you expand on why 7z is better than Freearc for this?

its all because of the 1 50+GB file, that's causing some issue, freearc stalls on that file but 7z doesn't seem to have an issue.

oh thx for info, funnily enough this huge file compressed exactly to 21.8GB with 7z/normal so it will fit to single-layer BD ;-)

Did you purposely leave redists in {app} ? You usually have them on {src}

[Launch1]
Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 x86
32Exe={app}\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2015\vc_redist. x86.exe

--EDIT--
Error in this line for sure!! Maybe change to {src} ( last DVD )

[Launch2]
Name=Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 x64
64Exe={app}\_CommonRedist\vcredist\2010\vc_redist.x64.exe

pakrat2k2 02-10-2016 10:51

pan3o 02-10-2016 11:03

Can't allocate required memory - that's the error in 7zip

Failed to create Data2.bin

GTX590 02-10-2016 11:18

pakrat2k2, don't move Commonredist folder, keep it in game installation folder!!
Guys!! I tested 7-zip with normal compression and everything was oK (9xDVD5)!!!
So I really don't understand what the problem!!!!!!!

brazilia 02-10-2016 11:24

I tried the new version of UA. I've got 15 DVD5 with "7-zip as compressor".

ok, Launch 2 still has an error. 2015/2010

pakrat2k2 02-10-2016 14:35

Another thing I've found out, users who want game in another language, MUST leave the English files as the game WILL launch the first time by default in English, then will after that play in the language chosen.

GTX590 02-10-2016 14:37

That's what I noticed when launched the game for the first time!!

elbubi 07-10-2016 14:37

Tested and working 100% under Win10 x64 (used 7-Zip normal compression)

BR25 - 2 volumes (3 languages, en + es + esmx) => 35.001Mb

Thanks for your work!

Maxgrilo 11-10-2016 18:51

Same thing here is process even stopped using the method 7z.

It only works if I do without any compression but there is 16 DVD5.

pakrat2k2 11-10-2016 20:32

^^ see my reply other topic, on your end, NOT the conversion it self.

DONT leave the extension as BIN, must be 7z. See my reply other topic for ultraarc.ini file set to use. just choose source & output locations only, then start compression.

Not sure it'll work under 2.0.3!!!!!

pakrat2k2 17-10-2016 09:10

When you name your archive for upload

Quantum Break-Multi11-(9xDVD5) UltraArc + CIU v2.0.3 By Yener90.rar

you need to shorten it a lot, & add Version numbers when you make changes & re-upload it. Too confusing to know what version you at when you name it the same everytime.

nima1369 23-10-2016 02:59

In 7zip method works in all modes? Example: store. normal. fast and ...?

pakrat2k2 23-10-2016 08:01

I tried all methods & didn't have any problems archiving / extracting afterwards.

damar15 24-10-2016 11:37

finally it's working thanks man and thanks for pakrat2k2
100/100 under win10-64
