Hi, i was wandering if u can make a tutorial for making a Collection Conversion (put multiple games of same serie together).

Needs no Tutorial. Just Install all Games in one Folder. Then, it's the best you Compress the Games External. For help you can Edit Converter.ini and Data.ini from this or this Collections.

Then go to Resources\Components and set Game Names and Game Sizes the rest is normal settings for external Compression.

A name or tab shift
 

May be due to the name problems, might need to add as unpack.exe in name also. and make sure that it is getting launched after the installation's or simple try to put that in executables or in were you add in the redist files.

will upload installer creator v2.3.4 tomorrow for that.

turns out that installer creator requires graphics like crazy, I now use intel onboard graphics and installer creator is not working properly but will try updating it anyways.

Don' forget, you have to click 'Run->Build' and set the files next to Data.bin!

I just have I little BIG question, in which part do u choose the source path, from where the game is installed and is going to be compress, maybe i'm too stupid, but I didn't see in the tutorial, the part where u do it

I haven't used Installer Creator in a while(approx 2 months) but I think to add source path for compression you have to Resources Media [Internal], Press Add, browse for source. Go to Deployment then Media Configuration, tick disk spanning, click one of the media distribution methods like DvD5 and etc then you're done, compile and test.

I did what you said and is working now!!! :D I just think that this you told me should be included in the tutorial for noobs like me, also a little of explanation on the parameters, cuz I use task 1, and the component on 1 and nothing on the folder was compressed, I remove those and worked, so, if someone told us what for are those parameters would be nice.

I'm very very happy that now

P.S. Inge nice work on your tutorial, but some things are miss like how to chose and configure internal compression, now I know thanks to razor12911,

Think on that the Tutorial is made v.2.2 of Creator, some Inputs have changed in upper versions (like the Tab for Internal Compression) but it's not hard to figured out were they are. The rest of Tutorial is in 90% the same.

Hmm, this version 2.8 is really buggy. Just be patient and wait, I am still gathering programming tools so that I can be able to fix this bug.. ask thinkbigearnbig for Installer Creator v2.7.

Or just download freearc and extract those data#.bin files.

If i want to create a complete edition repack with game a, game b and game c. It should be possible to install all (a+b+c) together or only one(b or a or c), or two (a and b for example. of the games. I did understand it can be realized with one archive per game, but my question is:

How to create shortcuts tht only will be created if game a, b or c is installed. There is no need for shortcut to game a, if only b and c is installed.

Is there any solution?

This is no Problem. All you need is to set the Correct Imput to Executable, Components and Media[External] Tab. If you Install now Game B from your Collection there will be no Shortcut for Game A or C.
