Unfortunately not. I would have to recompile the exe's with new parameters.

Yes, he can. Installer doesn't ask for another disc until it finds the subsequent archives :p

Crash on XP

Hello Fabio,

This conversion works fine.
I've tested on Win7 x64 and it was all working great.

But when trying to install on Windows XP, it gives me an error with an unrrecognizable message (weird characters) and a OK button.

When I press OK, it crashes and does not install at all.

I had noticed this particular issue in a lot of conversions.
But only on Windows XP.
Some of them works fine, but a lot do not work on XP.

Is it an known issue for you?
Or maybe for someone else in the forum?
There's something that can be done to make it work on XP?

Thanks!

Fabioddq 02-06-2013 18:57

I really don't know. :(
I don't use WinXP for a long time. Is not possible you update the PC to Win7?

ceifadorx 16-06-2013 09:54

tested with update 4 and all the dlc.
working fine (the only problem is the uninstall gdiplus.dll error bug) but is not problem when uninstalling with revo uninstaller

Works Perfectly in XP64 (tested).

Is it possible to remove foreign languages to save space on disc 1?

pakrat2k2 19-11-2013 05:19

if you know what files they are go ahead & remove them, it would make dvd sizes smaller.

Fox22743 19-11-2013 06:57

Under:

(install directory)\nativePC\sound\stream\event
and
(install directory)\nativePC\sound\stream\voice

there are 6 language directories (viz, ENG, ESP, FRA, GER, ITA, JPN).

I only left ENG and my game installs, starts, plays first mission and uninstall properly. Havent tested further than 1st mission.

DVD 1 = 3.86GB (with artwork and soundtracks also compressed in "data1.cab" file, + all updates and dlcs)
DVD 2 = 2.36GB

Thanks a million Fabio. Works 100% on windows 7 ultimate 64bit sp1.
