About ACIII, check there.

Sure, I'll try it again.. is it possible to split the content of a single dvd to be 4GB? (current conversion DVD1=4.36GB )

Split? How so? 1xDVD5 = 4.7GB

aizen27 21-12-2012 09:37

I mean I want the 1st dvd size to be 4GB, not 4.36GB.. rest to be the same without exceeding 4GB limit

Ah, i understand now... Unfortunately is not possible ... :(

pakrat2k2 21-12-2012 10:00

kind of.. change the diskslicesize in script.

well, current Disk Slice Size value=1556000000 which gives 4.36GB, what should be the value to assign to get 4GB?

aizen27 21-12-2012 10:16

I get it! 1556000000 bytes = 1.44GB, that's the size of single slice, DiskSliceSizevalue X SlicesPerDisk gives the final size for a single dvd5

thanks pakrat2k2

pakrat2k2 21-12-2012 13:20

so you want 4096 ( 4GB ) x 1024 ( bytes) = 4194304 / 3 = 1398101 will give you final result of 4GB dvd5 NOT 4.7GB

Diskslicesize=1400000000 = 4.1GB

In spite of the fact that specified capacity of a dvd5 is 4.7GB, actual space which can be used is 4.38GB. ;)
I did the conversion without the update and got 3XDVD5 :D

akarikk 31-12-2012 18:23

hi there i have a problem new setup/installer is not working for me, i just got a black box whit the flags up and the speaker icon but no image, no buttons no nothing, also after compiling the scritp i didnt get the setup.dll, so if a try tu run it i get an error, so i used the dll from the conversion before, if the dll, is the problem can u send it to me? thanks a lot a have a heppy new year

edit:
is another way to do it work cuz i dont wanna do the compilation again i have all my bins done, if i just need the setup files can some one send it to me?

Thanks

pakrat2k2 31-12-2012 22:39

akarikk, in installerscript.iss put a ; in front of #define ProgramFiles "C:\Program Files (x86)\Square Enix\Hitman Absolution"

will look like
Code:

;#define ProgramFiles "C:\Program Files (x86)\Square Enix\Hitman Absolution"
then compile script, dont worry it wont remake the bins, only the setup.exe. ALSO you have to compile langscript.iss to create the autorun.exe too. then have the setup.* files & autorun.exe files, with the setup1*.bin files in HMA_1 folder. then you can create your ISO's.

Hello Fabio, and thanks for this great conversion (awesome visuals).

One little question, op says to include "Setup.dll" en disk1, but I don't have that file in conversion folder, is that right?

Btw, I updated to 1.0.144.0 using TINcft update (xdelta method) and if fits in 3xdvd5 since it does not include unnecesary language files besides english.

Kind regards and thanks once again.

Ops... My mistake. Sorry. :o
This is Autorun.exe, not Setup.dll. Compile LangScript.iss to make Autorun.exe. ;)
Yep, it's possible fit in 3xDVD5 with less languages.

Thanks for feedback! :D

akarikk 02-01-2013 11:02

Thanks pakrat2k2 i did everytingh you said and i get the autorun and all working but now i doesnt intall anything i mean it doesnt uncompress anything, and finish in less than 3 secs, what i did wrong?

what i want is to make it work but without doing the compression again (spend 3 hours more, cuz i alredy have my bin files)

thanks

DO i need to do all the process again?

pakrat2k2 02-01-2013 12:52

remove setup.dll

vasu001 05-01-2013 02:25

Done the thing ,size-11.3GB btw dxsetup is not running it just installs vcx64redist thing then finish......

do i have to keep dxfiles in some folder inside redist....:D

pakrat2k2 05-01-2013 04:19

look in setup.ini as to where they should be & named. AND re-read conversion steps it tells you where to put them.

MartinezPL 10-01-2013 06:47

After some hard work make it my conversion with setup bat ;]

+ re-encode biks to ~50% quality
Final Size:

Based on that yener90 CIU 1.0.0.2, installation time ~ 2 hours
Hitman Absolution (Multi8 + DLC's + Update - 4xDVD5) * Inno Setup *
Based on CI 8.5.7.4 to yener90; installation time ~ 1 hour

Updated to v1.3:

- Update to CIU 1.0.0.3;
- Fixed uninstall name problem;
- Fixed slowness during installation for some users; Thanks to aizen27 for test.

Question: What do you mean exactly by "Remove your original uninstall files before you make the conversion."? Should i delete the unins000.dat & unins000.exe from the floder where I have my game installed?

Safer way to do it would be moving them outside of game folder elsewhere so you can uninstall the game after you do the conversion.

So:
- Install the game
- Move uninstall files elsewhere
- Do the conversion
- Move uninstall files back to game folder
- Uninstall the game
- Test the conversion.

At least that's how I do it.

do i have to compile the whole thing again?
or can i just compile like we do for external compression by placing ; infront of game directly and once done just replace the old setup files with new one so that it can extract the previous compiled files done via ciu 1.0.0.2 ?

Be patience! Press compile and go to Beer and pizza. :D
