Sir pakrat2k2 & Fabioddq

I already did all your advice mentioned above but still the same message apears. hmm,is there a software that I still need to install to do the conversion?

pakrat2k2 06-12-2012 05:00

make sure that you have both inno unicode & freearc installed on your PC.

Fabioddq 06-12-2012 05:37

Yep, install Inno unicode and freearc. Please show me your files, game path, etc...

I will try discover the problem.

I have installed inno set-up unicode 5.5.2 and freearc but the same message shows up. Attached this reply are the images of my files.

pakrat2k2 06-12-2012 19:54

you right-clicked on compress.bat & run as administrator ?

Fabioddq 06-12-2012 19:59

Your game path is: D:\Games\Black Ops 2

Probably you have this error because is not putting the correct installation path.

Select your game directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\COD Black Ops II): D:\Games\Black Ops 2

shoyee17 06-12-2012 20:12

@ pakrat2k2

yes, I right clicked compress.bat and run as admin

@fabioddq

yes, my directory is correct. I shortened my game directory name as Black Ops 2 instead of the original Call of Duty Black Ops 2 which is longer, as advised by sir pakrat.

So, it's a mystery! :eek:

You can try internal compression with Inno, but i need upload the files (22MB). Even so, you still have to specify the installation path. Let me know if you wish try this.

pakrat2k2 06-12-2012 21:20

next question, should have asked before, 32 or 64 bit windows?

shoyee17 08-12-2012 17:04

32 bit windows 7 ultimate, that's why i downloaded the compress32bit file. I also tried to temporarily disable my antivirus but still the same.

shoyee17 10-12-2012 06:25

ok no probz..I'll try this method sir fabioddq. thanks! Will the result still be the same with your first method of conversion?

Yep, is the same. ;)

robbos21 10-12-2012 09:08

I agree with kamyk95 about your converts, When you do at least you put the compressfiles etc which need to use save having put other progs on comp !!!

shoyee17 12-12-2012 01:57

Sir fabioddq, could you repost the other method of conversion? I'm sorry I still wasn't able to try it out. thanks!

I thought you already had downloaded. Sorry, i will post again.

Note:
Delete this section from Setup.ini:

Code:

[ExtractSettings]
FreeArcFile1={src}\Data1.cab;DestDir:{app};Disk:1
FreeArcFile2={src}\Data2.cab;DestDir:{app};Disk:1
FreeArcFile3={src}\Data3.cab;DestDir:{app};Disk:2
FreeArcFile4={src}\Data4.cab;DestDir:{app};Disk:3
FreeArcFile5={src}\Data5.cab;DestDir:{app};Disk:4

Sorry, i must have forgotten to delete before doing the upload.

Remove your original uninstall files before you make the conversion;
You must use Inno Setup Unicode version (u);
This is the same conversion of the first post, just changed to internal.

1. Install the game, download attachment and extract in your HD (Not in your game folder);

2. Open InstallerScript.iss and change the first line according to your game instalation path:

Code:

#define ProgramFiles "D:\Games\Black Ops 2"
3. Press compile and wait...

4. Move to:

Code:

CODBOII_1: Setup-1* files; Setup.exe; Setup.dll; Setup.cab; Setup.ini;
CODBOII_2: Setup-2* files;
CODBOII_3: Setup-3* files;
CODBOII_4: Setup-4* files;

5. Make ISO's and test before you burn.

shoyee17 12-12-2012 07:05

@ Fabioddq

noted and downloaded. Thanks sir! You may delete your repost as soon as you read this. =)

Fabioddq,
eu não entendi. O dvd 4 tem 2.43gb e a dublagem pt-br tem 3.25gb. Como colocarei isso no dvd 4?
Também posso instalar e atualizar o jogo com os 3 updates antes de converter?

sorry for the post in portuguese!

I didn´t understand. The DVD 4 has 2,43gb and the dubb has 3,25gb. How to fill this in dvd 4?
Can I install and update the game with the 3 updates before the conversion?

Hi, this forum is only in english, otherwise your message will be deleted. ;)

Unfortunately, there is no space for the translation, you have to burn in another DVD or try install the translation and after, make the conversion from page 4.

Yep, you can make the conversion with all updates installed. For this use the conversion from page 4.

pakrat2k2 03-01-2013 11:31

think should be page 2 post #60 ?

Sir fabioddq I tried to follow your instruction and when I tested to install using the iso's created it says "please insert disc 1" when the installation is about to start. when I press ok, it continues to pop up. I have no choice but to cancel. I named my iso's CODBOII_1, CODBOII_2, CODBOII_3, and CODBOII_4.

Sir fabioddq, I have another concern. I successfully installed the game using the ISO's however when I start the game, it runs in the background since I can see it in the task manager but it doesn't show up. I updated the game and added the no-cd before the conversion. What did I miss this time?

I have no idea... :confused:

leecherpro 25-01-2013 18:43

Fabioddq, is it possible to change the installation directory? Such as installing to pf\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops II?

Yes, just indicate your game directory. ;)

Where exactly would I put this? In the Compress.bat? Or will I have to download the source code from page 4 and edit it? (sorry if this is a stupid question)

whatever. You can make one of two. if you use compress.bat, run and indicate your game directory.

if use the conversion from page 4 change the following line according to your game installation path. For example:

Quote:

define ProgramFiles "D:\Games\Black Ops 2"

to

define ProgramFiles "pf\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Black Ops II"

deville05 18-03-2013 18:24

using w7 x64.

install is ok. when running single player, it is not opening. just in task manager.

uninstall is also ok.

reinstalled from original dvd, game is running ok.

any ideas?

Fabioddq 19-03-2013 06:18

I don't know. For me works 100%. The conversion is only english with updates 1, 2 and 3.
