download van helsing's conversion, it's working, you may need to change couple of things such as mucis or pictures etc. more than these small details it's fine.

If you dont want to 'handle' with these, there are 2 more MW3 conversions in here try them.

OR re-read the first post message at the bottom !!

The Script works perfectly usin ansi version of INNO setup WITH the extra ISL language files I provided in the MW3 conversion's language folder. The extra languages that all others who install INNO are missing quite a few of the 'extra' languages.. I d/l them especially for this conversion as the game supports the extra languages.

IE: INNO Ansi version folder located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Inno Setup 5 Ansi\Languages has less then 20 supported languages.

MY Inno Ansi version with updated language files has over 25 supported languages.

found errors in the autorun.iss or MW3.iss
http://oi42.tinypic.com/nzfwuc.jpg

pakrat2k2 22-11-2011 17:54

easy is just change the autorun.iss

The-revenge 23-11-2011 05:39

pakrat2k2, the video folder is 1,54 Gb, if I compress abou 50% of bink video with RAD video I can gain about 700 Mb, and then the conversion fit in 3 DVD5. What do you think?

pakrat2k2 23-11-2011 05:53

sure go ahead

Install Ino Setup click on Run.iss with the right button on the mouse and pres copile

pakrat2k2 27-11-2011 17:55

looks good BUT you need to change the about box line to read:

Inno Setup script by Fabioddq modified verion of Original script by Peterf1999 for The Witcher 2.

Peterf1999 wrote the ORIGINAL script, and any modifications to that script should be credited to him. Yes I've used that script but the about box message needs to credit peter, not me :)

And create a new topic for it, & attach the file within your post here on the forum, rather then an external site. That way if modifications are needed you can 'fix' any errors and update the file easier here, then elsewhere.

IF youd rather not release it public at the moment, then remove the link from your post & PM me a link I CAN d/l from. Right now its set to private so i cant d/l & check it.

Sorry, I had not seen was that private. Is public now, tomorrow will create the topic because I have to wake up early. Anyway, you can take the test now. :D
I changed line of the box "about":
"Inno Setup script by Fabioddq modified version of original script by Peterf1999 for the Witcher 2"

Thanks guy!

pakrat2k2 27-11-2011 19:50

found a few 'corrections' that need to be changed.

In BatmanAC.iss find this section

Code:

#ifdef AddToFireWallList
    if FWAdd then begin
    SetIniString('Windows Firewall', 'AppExlist', 'True', ExpandConstant('{app}\setup.ini'))
    AddApplicationToExceptionList(ExpandConstant('{app}\iw5sp.exe'),ExpandConstant('{cm:AppName}'));
    end else SetIniString('Windows Firewall', 'AppExlist', 'False', ExpandConstant('{app}\setup.ini'))
    #endif

change the iw5sp.exe to \Binaries\Win32\BatmanAC.exe, do a search for it and replace all. Easier.

Under the [Languages] subsection:

change: Name: en; MessagesFile: compiler : Default.isl --> added a space so it wont show up as :D
to: Name: en; MessagesFile: Default.isl

and the rest from MessagesFile: compiler:xxx.isl
to MessagesFile: Languages\xxx.isl

where xxx is the languages the game supports ( under the [Languages] subsection. Remove ANY that the game doesnt support. Do the same for autorun.iss, remove any languages the game doesnt support.

Fabioddq 28-11-2011 05:22

OK, I made the corrections, your name will be remembered in the topic!
Thank you for your help!

GAMES_PC 12-12-2011 20:52

ouch 5 hour to compile but run great thx :)

pakrat2k2 12-12-2011 21:32

5 hrs !??! what did you run it on... an old 286 PC ??

GAMES_PC 13-12-2011 00:12

use core 2 duo win 7 460 gtx sir pakrat :)

i think my core 2 duo

pakrat2k2 13-12-2011 17:37

well as its a 4dvd set anyways, to extremely cut down on compile time, set compression to none. which will still end up 4dvds but install time will be cut very short.

I used q6600 quad core & only took 1 hr max, surely not 5 hrs.

cindos 14-12-2011 12:11

Launch Icon shown like this "Launch %1Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3" :)
How can I fix (%1) that?..
Thank you..

pakrat2k2 14-12-2011 21:01

under [icons] remove whats in bold

Name: {group}\{cm:LaunchProgram}{cm:AppName}; Filename: {app}\iw5sp.exe; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: MenuShortCuts
Name: {group}\{cm:UninstallProgram}{cm:AppName}; Filename: {uninstallexe}; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: MenuShortCuts

cindos 15-12-2011 04:48

But still won't chaged the %1.
It's ok..it's just an icon name :) could figure out later..
The real matter are Coversion runs well & The Game still could play also.

As pakrat2k2 stated, you should remove the names and THEN replace them with "Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3" and "Uninstall Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3" respectively, which is what I have done, as shown below!

Quote:

[Icons]

Name: "{userdesktop}\Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3"; Filename: {app}\iw5sp.exe; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: desktopicon;
;Name: {group}\{cm:Setup,{cm:AppNameMenu}}; Filename: {app}\Launcher.exe; IconFilename: {app}\portal2.exe; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: MenuShortCuts
Name: "{group}\Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3"; Filename: {app}\iw5sp.exe; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: MenuShortCuts;
Name: "{group}\Uninstall Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 3"; Filename: {uninstallexe}; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: MenuShortCuts;
;Name: {group}\{cm:Readme}; Filename: {app}\{cm:Readmefile}; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: MenuShortCuts
;Name: {group}\{cm:Manual}; Filename: {app}\manual.pdf; WorkingDir: {app}; Tasks: MenuShortCuts
Another cosmetic issue is that when you go to the icon/feature installation part of the Setup, instead of "Create Start Menu shortcuts", you have got "Additional icons:" instead - that has also been fixed in the SB Edit of the MW3 Inno Setup package, as shown below:

;Name: GFWL; Description: {cm:run} Games for Windows - LIVE
;Name: PhysX; Description: {cm:run} Nvidia PhysX; flags: unchecked

Also, feel free to download the edited Inno Setup package in the "Attachments" section of my comment!

Special thanks go to pakrat2k2 et al once again. :D

pakrat2k2 19-02-2012 21:23

thanks for the update, always meant to go back & correct a few cosmetic issues. But you've done it, thanks for that :)

jagged1600 20-02-2012 02:19

Here is a tip...

Using WINRAR -> go into ID\Main folder and open a .iwd with it.

Extract SOUND ONLY - re-encode sound - place back in .iwd file...

Then in the ID\Main\Videos folder - re-encode the .bik movies

I have now brought the folder size of MW3 from 13.9GB to 7GB...

Place in the file - DONE!
