How I see it: you try to install the game from a image mounted in Daemon Tools. What's wrong with installing the game the original DVDs??? If you have the DVD's you wouldn't need DT...Just my two cents...

Woot, no. I'm trying to run it with a crack. No any information needed what I'm doing with Daemon Tools (making images actually), the problem is that it crashes when I'm using crack, and actually it doesn't even work with the image (it says Emulation software detected), but it was working on XP, tho...

and without the crack and without the image just your pc & the game?

And its possible that if say your using Nero the image drive is also considered emulation also.

Try removing the Tages drivers manually then (right-click on My Computer, select Properties/Hardware/Device Manager, then View/Show hidden devices, expand the "Non-Plug and Play Drivers" section that this reveals, right-click the atksgt.sys and lirsgt.sys entries and select Uninstall for each).

These drivers don't need to be present (you can delete the related files in Windows\System32\Drivers also) if you are using the no-CD fix and they could potentially cause conflict.

Nah, still doesn't work. It still crashes. The language I had activated before it stopped working was Polish, it doesn't change anything...

i wonder if anyone can help me... im trying to play the witcher EE and it seems like it wants to work and then right after the intro video and the title screen, the screen goes black and i cant do anything. i have to alt+tab out and kill it.
i tried all 4 cracks on GCW and all but one do the same thing. (the other crashes as soon as the atari logo pops up)
i used the online patch to make my standard witcher into EE, also.

It's not the matter of crack. Install this to fix the problem.

i had a bunch of things wrong, apparently. i got a few other files including the hotfix and i got it all working good. thanks anyways.

sometimes its because the installation gets corrupted. reinstalling the game fixed my error.
