1- Apply the 3 patch of SCS
2- no need to replace the .exe (leave the original)
3- mount "mini image" (1.66Go) with dt 4.06, and use YASU
4- launch the game.

works fine on wxpsp2

Thank you I can confirm this does work with Patch 3 although pretty redundant now that the vitality crack has been updated.

Thanks to Vitality for the fix!

Can we close this thread now then ;)

TippeX 15-03-2008 13:08

hope so, or we can move it to the 'we have no life' thread ;p (i 100% hate the sims, my views are not reflective of the forums or the other mods.. they're purely personal... so sorry to any of the women / kids / sims players offended by my comment... which is 100% true ;p)

Agreed, killing each other in a multi-player FPS or winning in a racing simulator results in a much higher moral and mental satisfaction than replaying life in a simulator... :p

Is that you saying that or your other "human" controller who is playing you in a game of life on his computer.

Ooooh the conundrum of it all.

Better hope hes not one of those who gets bored easily and decides to Leeroy you into a baying mob of angry girls and mothers who love the sims :P

The Vitality fix released on the 14th still doesn't work on XP SP2, in my case at least.

Just some feedback, not complaining, heh.

simdude 18-03-2008 00:18

With the new updated version of the 1.3 crack, the game does start in XP-SP2 but then the computer locks/freezes/crashes every 10-15 minutes or so.
Behaviour wich is not justified by anything else , so I suspect it's still something wacky with the crack. On Vista it works flawlessly, as far as I can tell, so it has to be something with the XP compatibility again.
