I have the same problem, when I would like to start the game without DVD. I use Deamon 4.08 + YASU 1.07

Anyway as I said i an earlier post, I bought this game and it doesn't worth it. A very buggy game. I got BSODs :mad: , and there are other bugs within game while playing (single player).

Buy Silverfall or better Jade Empire.

I can higly recommend Jade Empire, as I own it. Jade Empire is like a drug, I was addicted so much that I finished it within 2-3 days. If you have installation problems, skip autorun and run setup.exe from dvd.
If you want to run it under Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003, just place to \Games\Jade Empire\ folder the file: http://rapidshare.com/files/21177106...9_1_0.dll.html

Ok it took me maybe 5 days, but I played the whole weekend, 24h per day. It was the first time I played a game like this.

You can finish it in a week. That if you make the sidequests. i preordered the game, so i had quite a nice chat with the people from ebgames who sent me Jade Empire later than the launch and with no preorder bonus. Well, it's a first for everything. In the end they sent me the preoreder bonus disk, but still...

Test Drive Unlimited works fine for me online, but of course, I do own the original. Not worth the mone though.
Silverfall is poorly optimised. So i'd choose Jade Empire anytime. I'm doing reviews for a frined who's working at a game magazine in my country(pretty popular I' d add) . As payment I can choose a few games from the ones that i made the reviews. I'd say it's a win-win situation, 'cause I like gaming. And Silverfall demands a high-end rig with at least 2gb of RAM and a powerful videocard. So stick to Jade Empire(it's Bioware, and it's pretty much RPG oriented, though is labeled action/RPG).

Disable all HID (besides mouse) in your Windows Device Manager
 

I am using the No-DVD-Fix by Vitality. The trick is to DISABLE all Human Interface Devices (HID) in your Windows Device Manager. If I say ALL I mean ALL besides the mouse of course ;) .
Normally my device manager looks like this:

When you use the Vitality-No-DVD-Fix the game then crashes like this:

I then simply disabled all HIDs in my device manager besides my Logitech MX518 mouse, see screenshot here:

Now the Vitality-No-DVD-Fix works fine with the game. No need for other fixes.

Well, thank's for info. Now reactivate your HID game devices, remove this bad crack, THAT SUCK ALL RESSOURCES FROM COMPUTER, mount maxi image with YASU and deamon tool's and you can play without any disabled game controller, it's hilarious to play this game with keyboard lol.

AMD 64 3000+ GeForce 6600 GT 2 gig's ram, work fine without one or other crack but with crack is slow and buggy.;)

I do not like mini images, virtual drives etc. and of course maxi images even less. A simple small nodvd crack is much more elegant. Mounting an image is a workaround from my point of view. Let's do not discuss the pros and cons of mini images here but stick to the problem, ok?

As far as I know the HID problem is a game problem. Many people have BSODs or other phenomena with this buggy game. I don't think the HID issue is related to the Vitality-No-DVD-Fix.

And it is possible to use the keyboard, mouse etc. in the game. All I had to disable in the Device Manager were other old legacy devices like the Microsoft SideWinder GameVoice which is not really supported by Windows XP or Vista anyway.

Yes, it is the best way to run this buggy game, and wait for the update 2 or 3.0. this game was sold as finish, but is a beta nothing more.

I got over all the 'unable to mount file' on Daemon and all the rest, and when I tried to start the game this came up:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application."
Any clue or idea on how I can fix this?? :(

I run the game with wingman joystic or gamepad all two works fine, only thing, don't use Analog throttle and brakes, use a buton for this two fonctions so you win many FPS. Go to game option and parametres the game controller, if you don't found any gamecontroller in game option, your controller is not compatible with the game futures.

well my brought copy of TDU works fine it's version 1.4 i think not to sure don't really look the only probs i haveare:

1.)i'm on dial-up internet(only for 2 more weeks) i can't run downloads in background and play offline profile just lags to much sound loops and gfx glicthes (hope it don't do this when i upgrade mu connection)

2.) My thrust Master force feedback wheel don't work it locks the game up (did that with toca race driver 3) i reckon it's driver prob there but i have latest

3.) 90% of all the sounds come from the left speaker it's annoying as hell specialy when u listen to radio the radio comes out of left speaker only (they need to fix this)

i would like to get a working mini image or nocd that dosen't mess everything up so i can play online so i don't damage my disc

so it runs fine apart from those minor problems my system specs and listed below it doesn't really need alot to play it i runs it on full detail with aa x2 running at a res of 1280x1240 no lag at all

hey
i've a problem. actually i'm using the no DVD crack from gamecopy.
i launched the game, everything was fine, but after i bought me a new house, i drove to the first checkpoint my gps was telling me. so i enter the race, choose my car (haha how funny, i just have one :D ) und than i click on "go" (i'm german, in german it is called "starten" :D )
and than nothing happens, the camera is going around in circles and is moving, but nothing happens, i cant go back or do anthing else. i have to "call" the task manager

everyone of my dudes have the same problem, they ... better we cant start the first game

how can i solve this problem?

The game (german version with crack) works fine for me.

Does this happen without a crack, too? Are you sure you haven't left an (uncalibrated) game controller (game pad, joystick, whatever) connected? Also, read the forum FAQ for some ideas on fixing problems...

i was playing about 4-5h and my PC was booted and savegame disappeared

After 4-5 hours, your PC is overheadet and reboot, this game is absolutly unproper for PC adapted and suck all available ressources, by each crash, (overheading and rebbot or graphical crash) the game have not the time to rewrite the last stand of savegame and the old save finish as corrupted.

But most part of crash's are du to low hardware power.

Its clear, at origine this game has bin released for XBOX 360 they use a triple corps processor each corps clocked at 3200 mhz, game manufacterer have just converted to PC platform without any optimisation to low power machines.

have fun, 4-5 hours without a crash is a rekord.....

Hi all.

I got TDU this week and tried to install the patch from Vitality (24/03). The problem is when I start the game with the new .exe, I get a message about updating the game, which I can't do with the cracked .exe.

But when I put the original .exe back, I can start the game without having that 'update' message. Has this happened to anyone? Can anybody help?

To solve this, I tried creating an image using Alcohol 120%, but I had the message : 'please insert original.... not backup'.
Something is wrong here and I'm a newbie to all this. Also, at the first step of the copy wizard, I can't choose the Datatype when I select the disc drive in which I have the original CD (my source). I can only do that when I select my other disc drive.

You can try to disable the auto-update function in the game/config.
(I don't know if this option can be switched.)

Also you can try to update the game (copy original-exe back before) and then after update use the cracked exe for this new version (i available).

That's what I'm trying to say. If I put the original .exe file back, the update message doesn't show up. It's only when I replace it with the cracked .exe that I get the message.

You are probably using the v1.0 cracked exe on a v1.1 version of the original game.

These days it is virtually impossible to create a perfect 1:1 backup for 'most' games.
The created backup is usually ok as an install disc but a NoCD exe or a mini/maxi image is needed to actually play.

How can I check the version of the game? When I launch it, I see MC 1.45 on the main screen. Is this my version?
I never updated the game since I got it, so I don't understand why the cracked exe would be "older" than the game.

On GCW all the cracks are 1.0. Since I'm the only one having this problem, I don't think it's the crack.:(

You can only buy in commerces the version MC 1.45 also, 1.45 is the 1.0 from GCW, only vitality version from crack run proper and don't forgoth to copie the "Euro" folder to game directory. Monday is announced by atari comming out the first update, and after update, you need a new version crack to play proper.:D

A hint from The Mole(the official Atari mod form the TDU Atari forums):
"On the other hand, you know what it means. The banning is starting. There's been plenty of notice, please no complaints if your account gets banned for removing the poor birdies."
So if there are modified files, you get a ban.
So more likely you will be playing online with a mini-maxi image, rather than a crack.
