Hey guys, got new problem ... seem the game detect when i disable IDE driver or CD/rom driver ..the game keep crashing....

pilouk 14-12-2006 20:53

Well , its not the IDE opticals or CD/rom driver the problem. It's the YASU.

if i start the game without yasu he gonna tell me that i have an emulator.
But if i run YASU the game gonna crash. dont know why

pilouk 14-12-2006 21:16

ahah, this game is fucked up

But i try to close YASU in The task manager after enable it.. but its crash some shit so dont do it....i was thinking to game just detect yasu...but nm

this remember me Gothic 3 if u got crashing error... Just retry and retry i got on the game after 3 retry :P

TippeX 14-12-2006 22:55

use the original then...you do have it .. right?

Two_Morbid 15-12-2006 09:35

Nothing is lost, just misplaced

Hi all, the following is how I got Vegas to run using an image I created from my original copy...

1. Mount with Daemon Tools (latest version) and install
2. Unmount image file and install patch 1.01
3. Disable any optical drives through Device Manager
4. Mount with Daemon Tools again
5. Run YASU tool
6. Play

If you follow as above then hopefully this will work for you.

And if you dont own an original then shame on you cos this game rocks and the developers deserve the money, so go buy it.

Highwayman 15-12-2006 11:19

How to run v1.1 without unhooking drives....

Well this is the method that has been tested and works....:D

1. Run REGEDIT

2. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices\

3. Rename the DVD drive that is real and add the drive letter of daemon drive
as shown in example below:

\DosDevices\E.F: where E is my real DVD drive and F is the fake one.

4. Note that registry re-adds the correct drive labels on rebooting pc, other than that runs Yasu v1.4 and it works a treat. :)

Highwayman 15-12-2006 11:20

Sadly the LAN/Mulitplayer bugs are still as bad as pre patched version.

Is there anything else you did besides this? Because I still get the error that i'm using emulation software.

bof 15-12-2006 18:16

i get the same error, the game just crashes with or without YASU. one thing i managed to do was to to open virtual cd hide, and get past the emulation software detection but i get stuck after that because the game tells me a security module could not be activated... cannot help more than that

ps: tried everything posted here and couldnt get the game to work, wether it was 1.0 or 1.1...

Oh I seeeeeeee

So you saying the following

"yeah ,

I was using YASU 1.04(YASU seem to do his job ..he just blind the securom)but i think the problem is in the mds itself or daemon tool. (Daemon 4.08HE_. it's the EMUDVD9 Mds.
Now we got this message ''we need to insert the vegas retail cd''."

Funny for someone not too knowledgable about things, you call your image EMUDVD9 which is amazingly the same as the Warez version.

Wow, whats the chances of that huh!

And perhaps you didnt pre-order and are just being a pillock ((hehe how ironic that sounds))

Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right?

Bye!

Bye!

Sometimes I download the "warez" versions of images because they can make better 1:1 copies than I can. As long as you own the disc(s) you can download the "warez" versions all you want

bof 15-12-2006 21:27

ok guys got it working for me at least

here are the steps:

1 do the regedit thingy, (renaming the cd drive etc etc)
2 disable optical drive
3 load the "real"(the one you used to install the game, not the poseden one) image through Dtools (mine is v4.08)
4 launch YASU
5 autorun the image, clik on play :)

works for me... dont ask me how it works i was just trying and trying and it finally worked :)

enjoy

edit: my version of R6 is updated to 1.01 and i didnt set the compatibility mode to windows 2000
edit: missing a step will get you the usual error but if u then do everything right and re-launch you ll notice that it wont work.... the thing is that u can play one game per windows session... strange huh? each time i want to play i have to restart my box before that. so if u **** up u have to restart, and then repeat step 3 and 4. well u have to do it everytime u want to play, so if something doesnt work just restart then launch YASU, autorun etc

Not true

@Sunshine666, pilouk, Tachikoma: Banned, forum rule #1. (Discussion of) warez, for any reason, is not tolerated on this forum!

@DABhand, Talus: Please, report suspicious posts instead of replying to them, if possible.

couli99 16-12-2006 05:44

i have just instaled rainbow six vega did the updates and download the fixed image from game copy world try to unpack the images and it stop at 53% is there a problem with the images? where can i find another fixed? i can play the game without a crack it kepts tellings me ti insert the cd

Joe Forster/STA 16-12-2006 05:58

Use latest WinRAR and, for maxi images, wait until the image (may be up to several Gigabytes!) is unpacked. (Read the forum FAQ.) If you cannot play the game without a crack, contact the publisher for help.

ManaWild 16-12-2006 12:27

works for me

I tried the registry editor trick for renaming the dosdrive CD Rom, it worked perfectly fine for me. just make sure you have your real CD\DVD-rom in the first part, and the imaged one in the second part. I'm currently using it on the fixed image, I haven't tried the full sized one because I'm just glad it's working for me. I even made two reg files to go back and forth between the fix. Thanks Highwayman you H4x0r! :p :p :p

Joe Forster/STA 16-12-2006 12:49

Then "as well as" instead of "instead of", okay? ;)

Please use ur original DVD, until Razor1911, Reloaded or other peoples release an noDVD Crack.

Greetings

Highwayman 17-12-2006 11:20

Correct

1. Run REGEDIT

2. Find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\MountedDevices\

3. Rename the REAL DVD drive that is E: in example and add the drive letter of daemon drive (F) including a full stop between letters as shown in example below:

\DosDevices\E.F: where E is my real DVD drive and F is the fake one.

4. Note that registry re-adds the correct drive labels on rebooting pc so need to be edited every restart.

The above method works...Tested LAN & Online (via VPN) on mine and several ppls machines WITHOUT disabling any drives physically and using Daemon 408 with Posiden maxi-iso (all emaulation ON) with YASU 104. with RSV v1.1 patch (no cd cracks)

Did that, and i got a message "Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000)."

ikkyu 17-12-2006 23:14

Well... here's my story. Im french and i really dislike the french version of english based games. So, for R6:Vegas, i bought it and then i downloaded the warez version. During version 1.0 i had no problem to load it thanks to Yasu (1.04) but, after the 1st patch (v1.01), i had an error. No way to launch the game whereas i had no issue w/ 1.0.

Then, thx to this forum, i found a solution. What i had to do is : disable my DVD Drive in windows paramater. Launch Daemon Tool and replace my original DVD player with the virtual one (Daemon Tool I:\ and Original G:\ so => Daemon Tool to G:\ to replace the original one). Mount ur R6:Vegas image. Then, i just put "R6Vegas_Game.exe" on Windows 2000 compatibility. Run Yasu 1.04 and Enjoy the game :D

Hope it can help u all.

kumars 18-12-2006 01:44

Thanx!

WardoggOne 18-12-2006 03:00

so you bought it but dled it and doing all this disabling when you have the original? try this, does the original work with the warez version?

@ikkyu: Banned, forum rule #1.

kid_tush 18-12-2006 10:57

Got it to work (without regedit stuff)

ok so game is installed and patched

get "universal shield v 4.1"

Using teh program, hide your physical drives

mount image on deamon 4.08

run newest Y.A.S.U

Play :)

How does it hide the drives so that the protection is fooled? Some kind of deep System hack, or?

Weird. One of the first links I found for refence of this tool has crack-download-links in it... So: Yeah, itīs shareware.
ī
For me thereīs no need to buy just another tool which will be blacklistet in the next V.x.000000000000001 update of the protection i guess - if itīs really able to beat the protection. Whatīs about (just for interest) for starforce with this neat thingy then?

Hopefully DT Pro will appear soon and all the hassle with the protection will be history... (for a short while ;-D)

kid_tush 18-12-2006 15:18

universal shield v 4.1

all you have to do is get the 30-day trial version so you can play it and by then dt pro might be out

or even beter YASU 1.05 is out which works
:D

TippeX 18-12-2006 17:30

any links for universal shield then?

nm, googled it -> http://www.everstrike.com/shield.htm

New YASU 1.05 is out  And it's works with R6 Vegas...

TippeX 19-12-2006 15:04

note to anyone using that universal shield program...
put simply its crap
disabling its 'features' will result in an int 03 breakpoint being hit when trying to access a drive (createfilea \\.\x: format) that was previously 'protected'...
that is totally crap programming..
it also installs 2 drivers - one for keyboard (guessing from the name) and the other for the filesystem, it also installs a service...

'rock solid protection' they state in the about box... thats true ish, considering under every rock theres most likely some bugs :)

all in all, i would not recommend to use it.
