stop error
hey friends, I have a problem about this game. Whenever I try to start a new game, it fails to load the game and gives this stow warning:
"error CS0006: Metadata file 'e:\program files\sierra\caesar IV\romescriptinterfaces.dll' could not be found error CS0006: Metadata file 'e:\program files\sierra\caesar IV\scriptiserver.dll' could not be found" but those dll files exist in the game folder, and it still gives that message although I run the "RegisterDll.bat" What should I do? |
well i got it from ???????? forums..
i tried everything, using daemon, secuRom loaders = nothing. but when i burned the image into disc using alcohol = poof! it works! |

@maciozo
I've borrowed Caesar IV from a friend over the weekend - only for research Don't know whether there are different versions, but it looks like mine uses a variable ISO check (6 sectors) just like Starforce does, which would mean mini/maxi-images can't be created anymore. For those having problems when using Securom-AntiBlacklisting tools (in general): - mount full image in virtual drive of DT 4.06 - Deactivate your optical IDE drives in device manager, or if they share the same IDE channel just deactivate that channel - Play the game |
How did you acquired such information? The MI works if you *can* use anti-blacklisters, so I think it could be false...

EDIT: It seems there aren't always 6 sectors 1st attempt: 28 00 00 04 50 4a 00 00 01 00 -> 282698 28 00 00 04 50 3f 00 00 01 00 -> 282687 28 00 00 04 50 4e 00 00 01 00 -> 282702 28 00 00 04 50 5e 00 00 01 00 -> 282718 28 00 00 04 50 5d 00 00 01 00 -> 282717 28 00 00 04 50 4f 00 00 01 00 -> 282703 2nd attempt: 28 00 00 04 9f 28 00 00 01 00 -> 302888 28 00 00 04 9f 29 00 00 01 00 -> 302889 28 00 00 04 9f 33 00 00 01 00 -> 302899 28 00 00 04 9f 25 00 00 01 00 -> 302885 28 00 00 04 9f 37 00 00 01 00 -> 302903 28 00 00 04 9f 40 00 00 01 00 -> 302912 3rd attempt: 28 00 00 04 c6 b7 00 00 01 00 -> 313015 28 00 00 04 c6 ba 00 00 01 00 -> 313018 28 00 00 04 c6 bb 00 00 01 00 -> 313019 28 00 00 04 c6 c3 00 00 01 00 -> 313027 28 00 00 04 c6 c1 00 00 01 00 -> 313025 28 00 00 04 c6 bc 00 00 01 00 -> 313020 28 00 00 04 c6 c2 00 00 01 00 -> 313026 28 00 00 04 c6 be 00 00 01 00 -> 313022 |

why oh why???
Does anything of this works, does the nocdfix file make my computer crash, I'm getting pretty tiered of this.
When i apply the nocd/DVD fix my computer gets a bleu screen, it goes verry fast so i dont think its a memorydump, my pc almost reboot imediatly. When the pc completly started up there comes an msgbox :the system is recovered of a problem, send or don't send to microsoft. I should say this isent verry normal, even if the fix isent applyd en you just open it the system crashes. So I'm kind of looking looking for the alternatief But nothing from above seems to work, i tried every tool i could find on gcw and it still gives the messages like "please insert the right cd and not the back up cd" I have xp proffesional i have read somwhere that it isent the same when you have the home edition. I have already spend a lot of time looking and i'm kind of getting desperred so if anyone has a good idea, shoot!! ow yes, almost forgot to mension Quote:
