I had a problem yesterday too ^^ I pressed a key (e.g. w to run forward) then I looked at Lara and she moved without doing sth.
It was like automatic gameplay!

What the fuck happened? Bull Patch?

Start the v1.1 patched game as described before in this post. Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc when the nvidia logo plays (this gets you to the desktop). Ctrl+Alt+Delete to start the task manager. Go to the processes tab and right-click on trl.exe with the mouse. Set the priority to Normal.

Now back to the game and play like a madman.

You will probably have to do this everytime, I don't know how to permanently change priority for a .exe.

Yeah, it seems as if Tomb Raider Legend is automatically set to run at 'High' priority level.

For people running Alkisecurom, there is no way that I know of to set the priority AND launch the game with Alkisecurom at the same time.

If you want to use the original disc in the drive, try the following (and editing in the directory you installed to:
cmd /c start /Normal "D:\Games\Tomb Raider - Legend\trl.exe"

I had the lag aswell, so i decided to close my logitech setpoint program and it worked flawlessly after that. will try that again later.

It is still running in High priority mode...but now you are not relying on any background applications for your input so you won't notice any problems.

I already tried with the new images that appeared on the GCW site, both of them, but every time i try, an image of a little cd appears on the screen for about 5 seconds, and then a message box saying that it detected a problem with a disc emulator software.

Of course, i am using the AlkiSecuRom.

EDIT: Ok, it worked. BUT:

I had two emulated drives, 1 for Battlefield1942, and the other for Tomb Raider. With the 2 of them, it didn't worked, but when using only 1, it worked. Go figure..

the game is still locking up.... patch didn´t help me a bit, so leave it if you don´t need it for controls.

i've got a small problem and i can´t seem to find any answer to it anywhere. :( since you already got the game(tomb raider legend) running i hope you can help me.
i downloaded the maxi image of the game and mounted it on daemon, now the thing is that the aplication icons such as autorun and setup don't appear!!! well they appear, but they don't ahve the lara image, just the plain old white square. and when i press any of them a dos like black window appears and disappears immediatly. this happened to the mini image of the same game and to the image of path of neo.
i tried with alcohol and it's the same effect. this never happened to me, and i found it to be very strange because a while ago i downloaded lotr: battle for middle earth 2 and everything worked out great.

please help me!!!

The patch and mini image+ blocker work well for me and much better framerates on next gen settings- now playable with a 6800. The 1.1 patch is essential if you want next gen.

It's a mini/maxi image. Only TOC + some sectors are present, so most icon symbols are gone as the data is not present. This usually occurs with every mini/maxi image and it doesn't avoid gamestart. So what's the problem at all ?

@Aion: Read the FAQ. You cannot use the image to install or run the software from it!

There was a nodvd crack released by a group named PROViSiON yesterday.
Is anyone able to get this and upload it? would be really nice..

i try to use the image from gamecopyworld.com and use AlkiSecuRom,
but in the end there stands: you have a copy in device, please insert the original-cd.


can somebody help me?

PS: i have the european version

make sure you only have the one virtual drive running in daemon , or you will get this error, also i had to disable ide drives in device manager (nforce 4 board with sata hard drives)

@SkubbyDoo: If sjh4's trick solved the problem to you then, please, confirm so that I can add it to the FAQ. Is the error message "you have a copy in device, please insert the original-cd" exactly the original, English error message you received?

My friend had the same problem, because he used Daemon Tools 3.47!

it doesnt matter if i get off the other devices.
before i had virtualcd 7 ,when threre stands this massage ( see below)
now i tried it with deamon 4 and set all emulation of on= it works!!

Anyone got any idea for this this prob i'm having.

Games is patched to 1.1, using 4.03 DT with the latest image file, the prob is using this prog "AlkisecuRom" the dll file is there, when i run the prog it asks what exe file i want to run ect, but then nothing it just does nothing, i have tried rebooting, redownloading the file but just the same nothing happens. :confused:

Prob me being thick but any advice is much appreciated :D

Probably true. They crack the activemark exe's from trygames.com or some other sites, and these work with the CD Version of the games. Cheap way to make cracks in some people's eyes, but to me a crack is a crack, may it be loader, inline, rebuilt, partial, different protection levels etc....

And yes you are correct, links to the actual file is preferred but submitting the file to GameCopyWorld is even better. ;)

It won't take until 2016, it will take until a cracker decides to crack Starforce without fully rebuilding the game, but taking shortcuts. If you want to fully rebuild SCCT, well, good luck with that :)

There's no no-CD patch available at the moment so 1) use the mini image and 2) wait until a no-CD patch is uploaded to GCW.

I think both Splinter cell and Tomb Raider Cracks are fake.

It would really be nice, when this news about the Splinter Cell 3 Chaos Theory crack is true!
I already looked into other forums, until now noone can confirm that.

Curerom 2 is on the way. Maybe the english one this day and multi at the weekend. Admins says, it will work with a good image.

i've dl'ed curerom v2 but i'm unable to get trl1.1 to run without my dvd in the cpu. can anyone give me a step by step howto? do i have to use a special image that i'm making wrong?

well, for starters, the cpu is definitely the wrong place for putting in your dvd :D :D

I have 2 HardDrives, One SATA Maxtor Diamond plus 10 200GB with Windows XP32 PRO and a Western Digital Special Edition IDE with Windows XP64 PRO.

Both drives have the Latest version of Daemon tools, for some strange reason Tombraider Legend v1.1 wont work on My XP32 with the mini image but it runs fine on My XP64 and the Game is version 1.1 also. HOW CAN this be and i had the same problem with Empire At War(Purchased) where the game wont run after patched to latest version 1.3 due to emulation software but works fine on XP64.
