Worked for me yesterday, but now won't start...
 

Yesterday I had the clone CD image of Godfather wich I burn on my DVD burner. I put Daemon Tools v4.03 on Securom Emulation and started the game.

ALL worked out fine, I could play, and EXIT the damn cars:) . This morning when I started the game, it would tell me that it couldn't find the DVD... :confused:

I just can't wait to play again

Then get your original from the shelf...

i have gotten the game to work with the fixed image( that is, the game launches, but right after the black screen with "2006 electronic arts" the game exits to desktop... anyone experiencing the same problem, i have new drivers, etc.

yes, the fixed image does the same thing that both cracks and the original image mounted in d-tools 4 did, and that is crashing after the first splash screen (the ea copywrite info). one of the cracks played the first two seconds of the audio for the next splash before crashing and actually giving me a crash notification instead of the straight to desktop action. quite frustrating... and apparently not universal.

The same happens when using your original ?

any way i've downloaded a cloned version and loaded it in dt with no emulation crap, no blax, nothing. and it works like a charm. i'm about 22 hours into the game now with no probs.

the +7 trainer also works without a hitch.

yeah same happens with my original. i installed on my older rooamtes computer, was really laggy but it got past the splash. i have a laptop...w/ a 6800 and 2 gig memory w/updated drivers, well over the min requirements, dunno what it is. thought a crack might fix it but guess not. looks like ill be emailing ea then

well that is super interesting... can we can some other input from people who have it starting/crashing at startup? this is going to suck when its a problem with drivers or something--i'm using the modified for laptop newest nvidia update, perhaps i should try reverting to manufacturerer set? ACB what driver set are you using?

there has been an issue with some games and directx
just as a check you should make sure you got the latest update for it

i have the latest laptopvideo2go, i tried with my older laptopvideo2go then when it didnt work i switched to newest ones, still didnt work. for direct X, that can be updated through windows update? looks like im up to date.

ok, i'm running laptopvideo2go aswell, i'm gonna try reverting to alienware's old driverset.

make sure you are replacing the EXE back with the Original one. and don't have the original file in compatibility mode

yeah, i just did a fresh install using the ORIGINAL game, only reason i reverted to cracks is because of this problem

Guys, if the game crashes without a crack, too, you're experiencing some crack-UNrelated problem. Read the FAQ on what software components to check/update and contact the publisher for help (that's their damn duty! ;)).

joe, we know that, we're just troubleshooting the problem--and for those interested, my alienware 5500 is now starting the game just fine after reverting to their released driver set for my nvidia6600 so this error is a driver issue--no idea which drivers are affected, but it IS a driver issue, so rollback my children, roll BACK.
and now i'm off to play (using fixed img btw, which works)

hey guys, i'm new here (but not stupid)

i made a new clean instalation after using every crack on the net, same problems with mouse look and geting out of cars.

but with a new instalation,:) i used curerom and now it works just fine

Tried it on my lunch.
Used the org exe and mounted the new file in DT 3.47 and used sr7stop to hide and

everything works fine. can save keys and mouse is fine

i cant launch it (without the cracks) im using daemon tools 4.03 and also tried securerom too it just wont launch it think for a few seconds and do nothing . With the cracks it works but with the mouse and getting out of cars issues. Does anyone knows what the problem is ?

when your not using the cracks you have to use

mount that image (in DT) and then use a hiding tool like antiblaxx or SR7stop to hide the drive.

after you have done that the game should run

there are 2 files there mdf and mds which i got already and when i use the new one i c in the virtual drive the exe files like a dos exe file and still it doesnt work but why cant i launch without the cracks and with the original exe ?

royb is saying that is it crashing after the first splash, which is another common problem which happened in my original game copy as well. my nvidia drivers were doing it(laptop 6800 w/ drivers from laptopvideo2go), i reverted to the old drivers provided at dells website and it worked.

you dont need anything but a clean Daemon Tools 4.03 Install.

When using the cracked executables the game starts just fine but while playing i experience the known control issues. So i replaced the cracked exe with the original one and mounted the mini image to dt 4.03. The game exits to the desktop when entering the main menu!Any idea how to solve this?i have the latest catalyst driver and rolling back the driver did not work for me. I would appreciate any help!!!!!

This dont work. I still using the original exe, i mounted this image in DT4 , ran sr7, didnt work. Tried with sd4, didnt work. Tried cureRom didnt work.

When i start game, it loads EA screen and goes right back to desktop. Sinces it pointless you use the cracked exes that are out, might as well use original dvd disc until a working (bug free) crack is released. The game is only a day old, ill keep an eye out for a deviance crack, never had any issues with them.

Why when i'm downloading the file Fixed image #1 from gamecopy, it stucks on 99%? And when eats all my three space on drive C? :D Maybe someone knows where to get normal file?

That's because the size that image after extraction from the rar is about 2.8 GB. Maybe you're just a bit short of that?
