so the mini-image is finally out.i now wait for the game to come to my hands and play it.Damn Greece always late...

DRAGoN.X 07-10-2005 03:10

I would just download hucbald's mini image. It's a hell of a lot smaller and does the same exact thing.

DABhand 07-10-2005 05:55

How good is B&W2?

Does it perform well, I mean it looks a quite a memory hogger.

liadoa 07-10-2005 06:25

hmmm got a little question ... am i the only 1 having truble with the mini image?? i use the just downloaded version of DAEMON 3.47 uninstalled all other emulators set off all options of DEAMON and still get that it detects DVD and CD emulator software anyone got an idea on how i can fix this??

Xenophon 07-10-2005 06:39

Hmmm....None of the mirror for the mini.image works for me!:(

Joe Forster/STA 07-10-2005 06:52

Confirmed, http://dl.gamecopyworld.com/?d=2005&f=DRXBW2mi!rar points to a non-existing file. Probably, the file name is messed up in the database. Empire, please, fix it. :D Thanks!

PWNED! :-P

1) He's NOT asking for warez copy of this game. I was also wondering if anyone else had a copy TWO days after the release...

2) Nowhere in his post did he even mention anything about downloading an illegal copy of the game.

3) Stop changing the topic and whining like a little kid to the admins when you CLEARLY got PWNED! :D

ANYWAY!

Does anyone know how to put this game onto DVD? Also, you do not need a no-CD patch for this game. It allows backups. ;)

DABhand 07-10-2005 10:04

Gonna have to step in here, Glenbo never said he had a warez version either.

Just to set the record straight :P

karakolis 07-10-2005 10:34

if u get an error about detecting dvd emulators as u start the game,i think that u must uninstall clonecd before trying to play bw2. i dont have the game yet so i just figure it out as i had the same problem with sims 2.
Is the game awesome?

DRAGoN.X 07-10-2005 11:08

when ever I got that message, were it detected the emulator. I:

1) Restarted the computer, then see if it worked.
2) Change the driver name of Daemon Tools/Alcohol. (Requires reinstall (and expert mode for alcohol))

I only got that error message once, and that was with Rome Total War. I restarted the computer and it then worked. Don't know why? It just started working (with the mini image).

caki 07-10-2005 16:14

It just worked for me to unmount and then remount image  .

caki 07-10-2005 16:20

oke for all of you who have same problem as i had it worked for me 2 uninstal clone-CD so if u have it well uninstal it :o :o

viccy 08-10-2005 06:12

Im also having some troubles with both mini images @ gamecopyworld.com, and i even tried to make a clonecd of my cd1, but whenever i mount it (both the real cd1, and both mini images) in daemon tools, i just get "Please enter the correct CD-rom" blah blah. I have no idea whats wrong, but all i can think of is some program installed or some registry thing or something? I have no idea actually   .
Help would be much appreciated.
Btw, i have newest D-Tools, 3.47.

DRAGoN.X 08-10-2005 08:41

Unitstall Clone CD, Make sure all the emulation options in Daemon Tools are turned off, then reboot computer.

If that dosn't work try Alcohol 120%.
http://www.alcohol-soft.com/

Also you might want to try reinstalling daemon tools with different driver names. Like just add a letter on the end of them.

dragonx

kbtat2 08-10-2005 11:00

Will these work with the DVD version?

DABhand 08-10-2005 11:06

Got the game today, my this game is memory hungry, but I love the extra stuff you can do, and the army building.

Anyways, I made an image (full image, will try mini-image later), mounted it, run anti-blaxx, made a new setting for B&W2.

Ran it through Anti-Blaxx and didnt have a problem.

Just wondering why the game is a bit laggy with 2GB DDR and 7800 Card and 64bit CPU.

Ahh well, maybe I need a nice clean system boot :)

DRAGoN.X 08-10-2005 12:42

It shouldn't be laggy with that setup. I have a 9800XT, 2800+ AMD Athlon XP and 1GB of ram. I have all the settings turned up and It's not really laggy at all! :D

To bad I can't use AA or anything like that. That would really be pushing my Video Card.

dragonx

caki 08-10-2005 12:48

Dunno why its laggy :(. I can rn it on all high, and all low, still has that little speech lag during the game :(. O well...

DABhand 08-10-2005 12:49

Yeah probably needs a clean reinstall again.

But at least Anti-Blaxx works with it :)

BoLo-NL 08-10-2005 13:54

no matther what image i try... i keep getting the error: please insert the correct cd-rom

anybody knows a trick?

caki 08-10-2005 16:48

Reboot works fine here if it starts giving me that message.

caki 08-10-2005 17:43

For anyone interested, I managed to make a 2 meg mini image for this game. Just fire up Alcohol,
Profile: Safedisc 2/3
Read Speed: 1x

Let it start, right away cancel the dumping process, save files, and there's your mini image. Worked for me like a charm :D.

PS Winrar compresses it down to 315 kb.

DRAGoN.X 08-10-2005 18:56

Here is more detailed instructions on how to make a mini image:

You can upload it to GCW if you want. LINK

kosmiq 09-10-2005 07:23

This game seem to turn out laggy for some and not others.
I have heard of several others it has been laggy for when playing on 7800GTX, A64, 2gb RAM and so on... Kinda strange I say...

I am not sure if I like the game yet or not, as I haven't tried it out yet... :p

Maxstate 09-10-2005 10:44

Can anyone please help me :( Im getting "white.exe error, windows has to shut this down" or something like that and no matter what i try i get that right after the splash screens... can anyone help me?

No need. All the mini images at GCW work fine :).

ripple 09-10-2005 15:04

Still not working....

- Tried both images.
- Tried rebooting.
- Do not have Clonecd installed.
- mount image(s) using alcohol 120% 1.9.2

Still receive the "cannot locate CD" error....

I've mounted a lot of mini-images in the past, including R:TW, always worked then....

hahaman 09-10-2005 16:10

Can someone be kind enough to make a crack for this game.
You see alcohal and daemon doesn't support x64 systems so i have no way of emulating the game. :(

DRAGoN.X 09-10-2005 16:12

The reason everybody can't get the image to work is because I think that they have blacklisted Alcohol's and Daemon tool's driver names. You could try reinstalling them with a changed driver name. (Like just add a letter to the end of both of them.)

dragonx

davodavo 09-10-2005 16:31

I spent the past 2 days getting the "Please insert the correct CD" error.

Turns out I had a program that was, for some reason, blacklisted. The guilty program was TweakXP Pro. I guess it's because it allows virtual drives and virtual hard drives, B&W2 decided to not allow it. After I uninstalled it worked fine with Alcohol 120%.

So check that all programs which can create virtual drives are uninstalled except Alcohol or Daemon Tools.

And for everyone experiencing slowdown, try updating your graphics drivers. It runs fine on my P4 2.8Ghz with 512MB of RAM and a Radeon 9600 non-pro with 128MB of RAM. I have it at the default resolution but with all effects turned up and I get around 25fps most of the time.
If you have a Radeon, make sure you don't have the Omega drivers installed, because they seem to screw it up. ATI's 5.9 work fine.

Just play with your original till Daemon Tools 4 is released later this month.

LnAng7 10-10-2005 06:03

Hello,
I just sat here and read through all 5 pages on this topic, ;) and my question now is, do you have to mount this image at all? or is it like other NO CD cracks where you can just copy it over the original file to start the game?

yes and no.
just mount in daemon tools ar alcohol. A mini image is basically an image of the game with out all that pesky data. All it has is the protection so that the game thinks it's the real thing.
Check it out here:

DRAGoN.X 10-10-2005 09:33

I've been getting e-mail saying that the mini image dosn't work. does black and white 2 have the alcohol and daemon tools driver blacklisted like battlefield 2?
just curious.

dragonx

noscript 10-10-2005 09:52

Maybe the standard names for daemon tools drivers. It works for me ;)

moniduse 10-10-2005 10:31

does it work with the patch?

noscript 10-10-2005 10:52

yes, btw: The Patch has a filesize of about 100mb and the game is not older than 2weeks. Why can't they test there games properly.

Where is the time in that Games did not need any patches.
