Hey guys, I've done a pant load of searching for an act of war no cd crack. And yet to no avail, for the 1.0 release but it wont let us go on line.

My name, here at least is TW. I run a LAN internet gaming center, and to let you guys know, places like us rely on people, and groups like game copy world, and people capable of circumventing diffrent types of CD Protection for our sake.

I meen, sheesh, what is the cost of throwing in 50 cd-roms into PC's, and then then the time and resources it takes so when some one wants to play Medal of Honor or something to go dig out a CD so they can play it for an hour?..over a year, quite a bit of money.

So our latest game has been the Act Of War showcase from Igames here at our Lan center...and I swear to god for an hour it drove me up the wall trying to crack it, and once it's done, now it cant go online. Customers are getting more and more into it, and a fixed exe for the securom fix they did in the patch would be apricated.

Our entrie operation is based about virtual CD Emulation due to cost, and efficency.

So that is my story, and my plea to you.

I would like to send thanks to the many, or few, hard dedicated programers and Hackers (Yes, I use the term in its aproprite context) who crunch the code to make places like ours run smoothly and function at a some what normal level.

Not necessairly. The games are infact paid for. And Licenced for each individual game. But I dont expect anyone here to know much about the trade when making a comment.

Its a fine tip toed line when doing such things. If I spawn more copies then I have licences for, then yes. It is...but we have a key db system in place that issues keys to indivual games, if were out, were out. Simple as that. Only big pricks in town are Blizzard...and..there coding is way too complicated to even devle into for making a multi-system use diablo 2/starcraft/warcraft 3 set due to how they imbed the key's into the mpq files...

You'd have to hex it or run a scanner when you do an install and find out where the key sting is being entered into what mpq and what changes then create an app that can be fed a key database and imput a key from the database into the location(s) of the file while knowing what keys are in use.

But..that's too much work, and gone way too off topic.

You said that you tried to crack it ,and it works but without online u mean u can play your crack in skirmish mode, if soo please dude can u give me the link of the file so i can look at it and help in fixing it to work online,
coz really am too ding for getting this crack !!!

The one I have is from GameCopyWorld...and it does infact work for 1.0 single player, but to do online you have to have 1.0b, so intill there is a resolve, there is nothing.

The way you originally posted it looked like you only bought the one copy and made multiple images over several PC's.


I actually ran a net cafe at one point, so yeah I know the score.

Be patient about cracks .. asking for them won't get them here any faster. (unless they're already out and you can check many NFO sites to see if they are.. if you're THAT restless)

Well am still waiting for the crack but i think there wont made any, they'll wait for the next patch 1.2 which must be released the next couple of days then crack it , I hope i can get the latest crack .... :rolleyes:

what the hell is the point of making a crack for v1b? when patch 2 is coming out soon! so save yourself and wait for patch 2 and make one for that!

True enough. If patch 2 is due then there is NO point in making a patch for 1b when 2 is due shortly.

Using no-cd cracks is generally a breach of the EULA of the game, and so would probably not be the greatest thing to practice commercially... not that I don't see the usefullness of it or anything ;)

Yeah, this might be true..but if it REALLY peves them, they'll tell me not to do it and warn me about it, and thust far, nada. I just would enjoy using this methodology of bypassing stuff intill the disc emulation software catches up to current securom coding.

I kinda follow the "dag nabbit I paid out the yenyang for this stuff, and i'll be damed if you give me something I CANT USE...well if that turns to be the case, the...power that I am, chose to circumvent such trivial things.

Why on earth would you give a LAN center something that has copy protection on it when a large fraction of game centers around use virtual cd emulation.

I would perfer not to patch the exe, I realy would...but alas, Atari-cornholio gives me no choice, they wanna up their dirty weapons of war, well...two can play at that game, no?
