lol...my house has 4 levels. The ONLY time (and it has been only 1 time so far) that I have used my PS2 for movies is when I was too lazy to walk from the basement where the PS2 is, up two flights of stairs to the family room. See that's the problem with video games...it makes me too lazy and I scoff at real exercise nowadays. I'd rather exercise my finger tips and thumbs that do that damn stair stepper anyday :) :) :)

seaneyb2003 08-01-2005 14:32

hehe lazy sod :p

Skelaratus 08-01-2005 14:35

Lazy yes, but I have the strongest fingertips in the world now...don't make me poke you buddy :) :) :)

Oh yes!!! Like I said it would be just a matter of time before they added the y-fix

Feb 4 2005, 07:05 PM We're proud to release CC firmware pack 1.2! This release brings an exciting new feature, configurable X and Y modifiers(basically "Y-Fix") for PS2 software! With this feature, you can perfectly fit import PS2 software to your TV screen. Unlike similar products which offer "Y-Fix", you our fix also allows you to specify the exact number of pixels to shift the screen so you don't have to rely on numbers that work well for other people but may not for your own TV. And in addition, the X fix(which is unique to BM) allows you to center the screen to the left/right as well!

We've also fixed a few issues relating to DVD videos and added support for the retail version of CodeBreaker v9. Please see the readme for more information. Enjoy!

Does Matrix Infinity have the "Y-fix" mentioned here? If it doesn't, does it mean import games won't be displayed correctly as suggested here?

Thanks

seaneyb2003 05-02-2005 10:10

yep mi does have y fix

woo124 05-02-2005 10:46

What CC was suggesting was that the "Y-fix" for other chips works for some cases and doesn't work for others. Is it the case for MI or is CC exagerating to advertise their chip?

Thanks

Seaney, how does your MI play PAL-games if you choose PAL60-mode in the menu? Mine does play NTSC-movie-DVDs fine, but for PAL games the mode leeds to the wrong y-pos. Is that normal and does the mode only work with NTSC-games?

seaneyb2003 09-02-2005 07:45

im in the uk anyway so it doesnt matter.

fratres 09-02-2005 08:45

Well, I know, all I wanted to ask you is if you have a PAL game and could possibly test it with PAL60 on your console?

seaneyb2003 09-02-2005 08:46

sorry no can do, i dont have a chip in my ps2 atm waiting 3 weeks for mine and paypal aint doing nothing about it sorry, ask norcalmods he has a matrix which he can test for you.

I also recomend upgrading the firmware to the latest which has updates for games nd stuff.

fratres 09-02-2005 09:13

Thanks anyway, seaney! If you are modded again you might possibly test it then? Iīm afraid I didnīt understand that y-pos feature anyway. Not sure if it should also work for PAL with PAL60 or it just handels import problems and has nothing to do with PAL60-mode. Sped once posted the y-pos is still to come for the MI, maybe in 1.4. At the moment I am, as everybody else, on 1.39.

You think thats something speacial? Well its not you can do the same thing with the MI and CC. Or really any chip for that matter.

TylerDurden 13-02-2005 19:22

I use a Messiah 2 and HDLoader and Im cool with that.

Tyler!

seaneyb2003 14-02-2005 01:10

yeah all these fancy chips pft! there all the same they just do different things. Its just the programing thats different its nothing to do with the chip. Most chips uses the same wiring diagram just a few points vary depends which chip and the power intake. I still use duo and infinity for any install.

lufcfan 14-02-2005 01:15

...and you obviously haven't read my sig earlier in this thread have you?

'Messiah 2 1.33b'

DMS4 aren't a patch on the CC or MI - they're much easier to install and their teams aren't complete ar*eholes... :D

Warlock 14-02-2005 03:50

I'm now using Crystal Chips only i still use my HD loader disc instead the MC exploit. In fact i dont even use the Bootmanager. Its not that big of a deal to me. Same when i used infinitys. All my games boot perfectly and thats all that really matters.

seaneyb2003 14-02-2005 04:52

what ive noticed its not about the games anymore everyones so worked up about modchips!i feel that its better to go buy your games instead of micky mouse games! modchip for me is for backups only.

They are however uses full for multi region dvds and imports.
