Most times when updating a game you will need the original exe in its correct place or the updates wont work. This is not always true but it is in most cases! ;) |

The problem is, that the crack only works with windows xp.
So editing the chkfile.txt won't help for Wondows 2000/98 users. It would be nice of Gamecopyworld, if they would add something like "only für Windows Xp" to the crack info. |

I have downloaded the "restorelasterror fixer" by snd. But I dont know, which files I should patch. Patching the sacred files doesnt help und I cant patch the kernel32.dll, because windows is always using it. |

I have patched almost every sacred file and even patched the kernel32.dll. Still cant play without cd. And I dont think, that there will be another crack for all the poor windows 2000 users :( |
Original Sacred.exe for English/International Version.
I have the same problem. Version still show 1.8.146. Because in the updating process to 1.8.26 (I delete sacred.exe line in the chksum.txt), it doesn't update sacred.exe. So sacred.exe still the old version.

rename your sacred.exe to sacred.org just put the kaf.dll and the sacred.exe from the english nocd in your game dir should work for any version :D

yeah, i am using win2000, and getting the kernal32.dll error. I got the fixer, which file do I use it on? if I use it on the sacred.exe from GCW, the file stops doing anything. or should I use it on the Sacred.exe that is patched and converted to Sacred.org?
Does it matter if I ran the program as administrator with the discs in already once? With discs out once? |
Also, now that I fool with it more I get the impression I am doing something wrong when it comes to the conversion of Sacred.exe to Sacred.org
Do I need a special program to perform such a conversion? obviously changing just the name does not change the filetype in win2k. ah for the days of DOS. |

Yeah, I run win98se and I did get it to load the game fine with the no-cd crack. Problem was when I actually tried to play the game, all the graphics for the characters (pc's) and monsters (npc's) were all messed up. They looked really cool, like wireframe robotic things. The game functioned normally but the graphics were just messed up. :eek:
The game was intended for the XP operating system after all. Can't complain too much, my original cd hasnt broken yet and I've been using it without no-cd cracks since august 2004. :D Hopefully, there will be a good no-cd crack for win98se users. But I'll gladly switch over to the xp operating system if someone wants to give a new computer. ;) |

sacred 1.8 no-cd crack / screen goes blank
i can't play sacred because everytime i click on the 'start game' button after choosing the character, the screen goes blank. i have already updated my ati graphics driver, directx and patched the game to 1.8.2.6. i have also tried different options in sacred's settings utility but it still doesn't work.
i am using a v1.8 crack from ***. even in its original unpatched version, the screen still goes blank. any ideas? |

i have done ALL the things in this forum and megagames forums...
1-i installed the game and then patched it to the international 1.8***** 2- after patching the game i changed the sacred.exe to sacred .org (and i was sure it wasnt sacred.exe.org) so even this step is right. 3- i tried the slickman english patch copying the sacred.exe and the caf.dll and DIDNT copy the sacred.org AS i already have it from the original patched sacred.exe 4-i deleted the sacred.exe line from the ckfile.txt 5- and when i start the game it starts normaly and i chose a character and then the SCREEN fade to black. :( 6- i uninstalled it and installed the game AGAIN and done the same process from step 1 till 2 and i tried the chez crack AND also the thirds time i tried the bountywarrior crack in megagames and ALL ended up having the black screen GRRRR! i have done every thing i have read in the forums as u can read from my step....so AM I missing something? or how i can solve this? plz any one help me coz i am REALLY fed up....and by the way this is not only me having that problem ...i have like 30 of my friends around the world having the same problem. thanx for any help in advance :) |

Installing the 1.8 NOCD crack
Dunno if that might help,But there is the things I done and ...
Well followed all the steps,and the game needed to close couse something(winXP msg)...Reinstalled without adding the retail patch(thought it might be the problem) and it was the same after I added the saves.... Well I don't get the blank screen it just closed...The reason as I mentioned is the SAVE game!!!I removed the Heroes.* files(the Exported)and left the saved games and it was OK!!! If someone can help bout this : My brother reached the quest where you have to bring water from a Mule to a dying soldier,but when he goes to the place where the watter is suppose to be,there is a flashing blue circle(like the water is coming)but it don't appear and he can't complete the quest........I already completed it earlier with the Wood Elf...He is playing the Vampiress(could that be the reason-some bug or something)..Mentioned quests problems while played the Battle Mage also... Also it happend at 1.5 Version,after patching to 1.8 it didn't fixed.... 10x in advance |

I've tried to get the german nocd-crack to work at Win2k and i got it *jippie* :D It's a combination of several solutions i've read in this thread: Do like follows: 1. Download the CZECH !!! version (Sacred v1.8.2.126 (v1.8.26) [CZECH] Fixed EXE) from GCW 2. Install Sacred from your original CD and patch it to version 1.8.26 3. Save the original, patched Sacred.exe (e.g. for further updates) 4. Rename the original, patched Sacred.exe to Sacred.org (not Sacred.org.exe) 5. Extract the Sacred.exe and the CaF.dll from the downloaded Czech nocd (do not extract the Sacred.org... you still have one ;)... and only this one works) 6. Open the chkfiles.txt in your texteditor and remove the complete line including the Sacret.exe (c73b3130f18951c60505fe72bc7bf0e8 = Sacred.exe) 7. Download the "RestoreLastError Fixer" from SnD (simpy google for: restorelasterror fixer snd) 8. Start the Fixer and fix the Sacred.exe (the one you extracted from the nocd-patch during 5. 9. Start the Game and H4v3 fUn ! :D It's quite complicated but it works ;) This should work on 9x/ME, too... but i didn't test it. cya, Quix |

Got it working...
This is all I did.
1. Installed Sacred (it helps) 2. Patched with latest patch from www.sacred-game.com 3. Downloaded crack from MegaGames (Sorry GCW) I think they're the same crack so no big deal 4. Carried caf.dll, sacred.exe, and sacred.org over to the Sacred folder That is all I did and everything works fine as far as I can tell. My cousin also got it to work just fine. Both running WinXP if that makes a difference. Hope this helps some ppl. Paelin ps. oh yea, and I'm running the U.S. version. (something about the U.S., it's always working--sorry couldn't resist) |
I can't get the NO-CD to work for the latest version. Here's what I'm doing.
I installed the game from scratch. I went to www.sacred-game.com and got the latest patch I could get, which is the Sacred Plus patch. The topmost link doesn't work, but ingame with the CD the version displayed is 1.8.2. I've done all of the below afterwards: Switched in the sacred.exe file from the archive Put in the sacred.org file from the archive Changed the original sacred.exe file to sacred.org and put in the sacred.exe from the archive I've got the .dll file in there as well, but every time I double-click on the .exe file, nothing happens. When I put the original .exe file back, I get the CD check. Maybe if someone could give me a working link to the most recent patch? I think that's most likely my problem. |
Latest supposed no cd on GCW doesn't work either.
