hm, i cannot understand your problems with this protection...
i only install from my originals, make an image of the play-cd with alcohol, mount the image and play the game...this works fine with every safedisc 2/3 protected game...i´ve never needed a crack or something else... :D

I´m playing with the 18,5 CD Image

I´m in a large Cave and have killed a vampire Hunter

I ran to a small boat and after loading my game crashed I´m back on my windows screen.

Can anyone help me??

does it do the same thing with your original copy?
if so, reinstall the game (be sure to backup saved games) and try again
if the problem persists, try getting to the same point again from a previous saved game if you have one
if it still persists, its a problem somewhere else on your PC, either software (could always try reinstalling windows) or hardware.

I have mounted an image file in Daemon Tools, and the game runs without problem, exept when i come to the part of the game where i need to find the professor that knows how to open the Ankaran Sarcophacus. I find the professor from the society of Leopold, and run down to the boat where i can escape the eksplosion. But when i jump into the boat and the game loads, it crashes, even though it had been running just fine for many days.

The error says:
vampire caused an Access Violation (0xc0000005)

I have the problem with start in Vampire:Bloodlines. When I want to start game I receive message "Out of range" and when I want to start in Safe Mode so I receice the same message. Game disallows change screen refresh rate and my monitor is out of range of default setting. Do you know what and where I have to change?

go to dxdiag and set a a refresh rate as default, on which your monitor is capable of...otherwise your gonna get problems.

yeh, im wanting a crack too. either a regular backup-cd or no-cd crack would do. i just dont like this image mounting business.

you think your the only one aye? how bout this every person outside the us is suffering when playing bloodlines why? because they have the only uncensored version!!! thats right the head fallin off at the first intro - they get to see it. the UK/FRENCH/GERMAN version is the one that most of us have. you can tell as these are the only lang. options that you get at install start.
look for the us version. youll all be very surprised.
but still depending on the us state you buy it from - as some are stricter than uk censors but if you order it from a state that lets through uncens. games as al ot do in US. im sure youll be smiling.

Still Trouble with Vampire Bloodlines
 

Hi all

Well my dog didn´t eat my orginal Bloodlines cd
My big fat girlfriend sat on it, and broke it :mad:

So i DL´ed this "svtmb" unpacked it and mounted this" VTMB_1.mir"
in demon tools. How many of the other Cd´s have to be mounted or in drives to make the game run? :confused:

And yes, I broke a CD once too, and spilled coke on one. Neither work, one of the games I re-bought (used) and the other I just forgot about (was fed up with anyway)

I see a lot of you used those cd-images with daemon tools. But isn't Bloodlines protected against emulators (I mean it detects emulator tools and ask you to close it) ?

I have the mini-iso thingy mounted but it still says that cd emulation software is detected. I tried using both daemon tools and alcohol. I removed clone cd.
If I disable the virtual drives, the message does not come up, instead with an insert-the-cd message.
Its quite frustrating because a friend has it working but I cant seem to manage it.

you need to use the search button and find where they talk about making demon-tools invisible by editing the registry and removing read permissions on certain keys..
here is the general location in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi

that way if demon tools is the only thing installed that pisses off the "detected" message.. it's invisible..

i removed alcohol 120% and clonecd from my machine, with no results whatsoever. the game still refuses to run on account of seeing the dreaded emulators everywhere. do i have to get rid of nero as well? and: is this legal? to force me to remove programs in order to use other programs?

what should I do if I have problem about virtual C++ while running the game :confused: :confused: :confused:

This a well known issue : the protection is testing only two keys in your registry :

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Elaborate Bytes\CloneCD]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Slysoft\CloneCD]

The solution is also well known :

1/ use Regedit to save these two keys in .reg files
2/ use Regedit to delete these two keys
3/ launch the game and play
4/ after you quit the game, restore these two keys by launching the .reg files

Note you can do all that automatically with a batch file. I can put my batch file here if you are interested.

I don't get it. I thought that Bloodlines detects only if a mounted image is active. What has to do with CloneCD ?

Don't trust what they SAY, look what they DO.

A long time ago, CloneCD has included a virtual disk. Then the copy protection blacklisted CloneCD. Now we use Daemon, and the protection always blacklists CloneCD. Next year, they will blacklist Daemon, and we will use NewDaemon... The copy protection is like the philosophy (following Hegel): it comes always too late.

The trick I described works perfectly for me. And don't tell me you do not have CloneCD installed: please look your in your registry, if you have one of the 2 keys. Don't trust what the installers and uninstallers say, look what they do.

Remember also that at Daemon's installation, you can choose the name of the pseudo-device you are installing: don't give a name that calls for the blacklisting.

dang! I can t seem to make this game run :(
i ve tried both with alcohol and daemon tools
to mount the imgs (i tried the iso and the 20 mb one)
but i always get a black screen and a crash to desktop in some seconds..

Hi I have a problem. When I load Vampire, after the credits the game give me a crash error (appear in vampire current directory) and return to desktop. What can i do?. I have the latest NVIDIA drivers.

CD I is burn with 120% and II & III with nero. How can I install the game?Thx

candyman - try installing the game from your originals. if you get the same error message, take it back to the shop and get a replacement. if not, try copying the game again.

you could always just install it from your originals and use a no cd crack

After I try to run the game, nothing happens and in 1 or 2 minutes I receive a message to eject and reinsert the CD1 .What could be the problem? It's not a requirement problem...

I had this problem too or something like this. I downloaded a no-cd crack from the game fixes sector of www.megagames.com and now it's working just fine and without the disk. The file name is VAMPIRE.TM.BLOODLINES.V1.0.ENG.JOOLIO.NOCD.
BUT I HAVE A REALLY BIG PROBLEM!!!!!!!!! When I play bloodlines I can't use any keys or keycards to open doors!!!!! It simple doesn't use them when I push equip in the inventory and I have stuck to this!!!!!! I have the patch1.2 but it didn't fix that bug!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek: :confused: :(

hey i found the nocd crack for the patch 1.2:) i havent tried it yet. i found on another site a spanish one :D

Reinstall from your original disks and stop using the crack if it's causing you that much stress

The no-cd crack I downloaded works with the 1.2 official patch I've installed. The only problem is that I cannot use keys and keycards and I don't know if it's because of the crack or if it's just a bug from the dozens the game has! The only thing I know is that I have the same problem also if I run the game not with the no-cd crack but with the HOODLUM cracked vampires.exe. I really don't know what to do. Any ideas except from installing the game from original disks????
