Hi all. I wasn't about to look through all of these posts to see if this was already here but I hope it's new.

Burner:LG Electronics CED-8080B (common w/ recent Dell computers)
Software:Blindread + Blindwrite
Time to dump and burn: About 15 minutes for dump; same for burn

Successfully copied games: Age of Empires II, Age of Empires II: Conquerors Expansion, Giants: Citizen Kabuto (won't install but runs after install w/ original), No One Lives Forever, Unreal Tournament (big toughie, huh?), The Sims, Sim City 3000, Quake III Arena, Alice (installs fine but needs No-CD crack)

I'm still a newbie at this so I'm sure the list will grow longer but this was enough to impress me.

This drive did burn things at the beginning, but decided to crap out really quickly. As did the replacement. So I switched to a Plextor (cos of this forum). No problems. My advice : Don't buy one of these devices. You'll end up with problems.

rovt 30-03-2001 09:44

Well really i am getting very ungry.
I have bought the plexor 12/10/32A
burner because it is said to
be excellent and i am only doing coasters.

I have installed forceaspi1.7 and finally i could install dikjuggler 2
and i could only
burn with success one game: TOKIO.

I ahve also
installed
the jinxter ghost driver.

In summary i try to burn 10 CDs and i only got success in 1 CD, i think that is a very bad rate, i was tired of
my old generic obsolete cd-rw
6*2*2 because it was slow but with
this old one i have never
had any problem burning games
with dikjuggler 3 or any other software.
Now i have spent U$S 323 in this plexor cd-rw and i am
only throwing discs to trash.

I have configured diskjuggler as follows:

Mode 2
2336
cdrom
Raw: activate.
Karaoke: activate

And i have also tried to burn at 1x and the same result, the first tracks are
always recorded successfully but the last track (about 1M) when it tries to write
it gives me an error: Event 17812 "(CDB: 2a000004aae100000a00, status: 040002, Sense: 052400) illegal field
in command descriptor block"
or something similar with different numbers.
It looks like it can not
write this last
short track properly.
I have also tried converting cdi image to nrg (nero), i have converted it
well but then when i try to burn it,
the process goes on normally the, burn proccess completes and reachs the 100% but then it gives me some error
messages
in red and the copy does not work.

I can not really understand it, i could with my old cd-rw overburn for example the cdi 80:30 image of sould calibur and with this new
cd-rw i can not even burn well anything.

Please someboby help me.

Perhaps my cd-rw is damaged ?

On other hand, i have
also
installed winoncd 3.8 power edition but i can not figure
out how to open and burn a cdi image.
This program let my only open cdj and c2d project files but
i can not open cdi files.
Please can anybody explain me how to open, configure the
parameters and burn a cdi
image succsesfuly with this program ?

Thanks, good bye.

Brand : Plextor
Model : 1610A
Software Used: WinOnCD 3.8

After the most frustrating moments in my life trying to make a copy with discjuggler (just one success, and burned at x1 speed) followed a post from this forum and tried the WinOnCD-CDcopy option... and it works GREAT.

Special Settings w/Software: just the defaults and cd-copy. No problems with speed, just leave at max.

Successfully burned games/software:
- Quake 3: Arena
- MSR (overburned)
- UFC (overburned)
- Project Justice.

(all of them self-booted)

I bought the recorder recently, so I only made these four copies, but some of them actually boot faster than the master, so i think this option is the best by now.

For non self-boot games CloneCD works fine.

My advice: if you have a burn-proof recorder forget discjuggler and use this option.

Burned over 100 games already on cd. It can burn self boot games just using a cdcopy at 12x, you do not need DJ to burn self boot games with this burner and software. Every DC game I have tried to burn has worked perfectly. This software comes with the drive. Any one serious about copying games should get this drive.

Has anyone here been able to burn disk juggler images using a LiteOn LTR-0841 8X/4X/32X ??

Stormwatch 27-05-2001 15:02

Drive: Lite-On LTR 0841 w/firmware MS8E
Software: EZCD 4 (crap), BlindRead/BlindWrite (for PSX games, toasts every DC I tried), Nero 5.5 (for DC and PSX, but it's slower than BR/BW)
Configuration: Just don't use RAW and everything will be fine

Sucess:
PSX: Spiderman, Driver 2, Castalevania Symphony Of The Night
DC: Smash Pack Volume 1
PC: Settlers 3, F1 2000 (only with crack, recorder doesn't suppor RAW ;( )

Stormwatch 27-05-2001 15:05

I just forgot: To burn with BlindWrite you just have to use SAO cooked mode, any other will produce PSX toast that will only work in bicycle wheesls and frisbee :))

Anyone with a LG can record a lba 11700?

TRICHOMEZ 17-01-2005 10:03

I have always used crap burners....and they have always worked....I now use a lite-on sohw 1213s dvd burner.....this burner cost under a 100 and has burned more than 50 gamez already.....I had a cheaper burner b4 and that burnt more than 150 games......never had problems...what I had to do from time to time IS not copy the 0000001.tmp and 0000002.tmp files......some programs....like nero would not copy certain games....only maybe 3 out of 200......one that comes to mind was painkiller....I could only get to 2 percent....when I excluded the files....it burned fine....same with others. When I open these temp files...there is not much to it....but they do seem to neglect certain burners with certain software programs used to burn.
