i am also woundering if it can be backed-up. or would it be safe in the ps2.. i just think that after i get mine i should back it up because i will be mostly using it!! any one know.

No PS1 game support, fails DNAS, no DVD9 game support. However, the HDLoader is still the bomb if you ask me. Storing games on the HDD is awesome, next trip, I'll just talk my PS2 and HDD, not 20 different game disks. ;) I love this thing.

Umm is this HDLoader ...its like the XBOX where u can just put games on the HDD and run em off there? How would you save them on and is it like a modchip please explain?

Im sure its kinda like the Xbox in which you get to store your games onto your hdd and they load hella faster.

But unlike the xbox, your gamesaves will still be on your memory cards. Plus there is no way to extract your games once stored on your hdd. So once you either fill up your hdd or no longer play your particular game as often you only have the option to delete the game.

Thats why having a modchip is also a good idea. That way if you ever have the urge to play a game without putting it in the hdd you can and still keep that original scratch-free.

its now been three weeks and i still havent received my ps2 hd loader. i ordered mine from divineo thinking i would have in matter of days, but its a no go. i have already emailed them twice and they give the same response, which they are moving to a new office and stuff and they dont have enough time to send all their pre-orders at the moment. if i dont get a response soon i think im gonna cancel it and order it from console source instead.

Ive heard that theres been legal actions set by sony against HDLoader retailers...dunno if its true or not..

****Update: We received a bit more info on this from a victim who does not want to be identified as it could adversely affect his case, but he informed us that these are actual complaints the attorneys for $ony filed in California Federal Court! This goes way beyond what has happened in the past as they are no longer happy with offenders simply shutting down and signing something (C&D) saying you'll never do it again. It appears $ony is now going for damages and more in some cases!

I just received word via phone today that $ony is now sending C&D letters complete with their legal team contacts to US-based Web sites selling HD Loader! As a result, some sites have already pulled the product while one site we are aware of is attempting to fight it. At this point in time there is no comment from the official HD Loader site (perhaps because they don't actually sell it), but I have a feeling HD Loader may indeed become more "homebrew" and less commercial in the upcoming months unless this legal matter gets resolved and $ony loses (doubtful).

As this news is NEW to us even, we don't have a copy of an actual Cease & Desist letter, however, hopefully in the near future one of the targeted sites will post theirs for others to view displaying the exact details. At this point in time, we can only assume the infringement lies in either the fact that HD Loader allows individuals to rent games and copy them to their HDD on an unmodified PS2 console, or perhaps because some copyright $ony code was used in its creation.

Even if this is true, and I have a hard time believing anything commin from Ownz. VCR's allow the same thing. Its not the device that commits the crime its the users.

i finaly got the loader to work with my dms3 chip its a lil tricky to get it working on it i had to formatt the hdd with dms3 formatt tool with auto patch on then use hdd loader with auto patch off then it finaly worked im installing onimsha 3 on it right now as thats the game i been playing lately :) next i will check out the MC version and just see if it works then i dont have to use the bought disk to play with and wont need any disk at all to play my games that will be sweet.

well as for me after some replies and waiting for about 3 weeks, divineo finally decided to send my hd loader. it should probably be here within a week or so i think. i guess i dont have to order mine from console source anymore. now i just sit here and wait for my priceless asset to arrive....haha :)

Oh and btw Evo, posting as another name will certainly not help you. If you do it again, Ill have your IP banned and we will never see you again. Just wait out your 5 day ban like a good little boy.

o danmit not here to i had so many ip ban's at newz it was unbleaveable i also had many proxys as well such as the one im useing now ;) which i use on ownz cause the amd there is a gay a** f**k that will ban any one for speaking of the windip prog he stoled and renamed as theres but i still vist the site when i want as i do here cause i found a new site now the mods seem alot better at the job they do hint hint tlyer and the funney thing is on this site theres a guy with the same name as u who sells pirated games so i found a new place to call home so i guess i wont be back here ever again or will i ??? :D

whos getting all sluky lol im just talking **** and i dont come here very offten any how this site blows as much almost as much as ownz now and tyler preaching all this **** about priated copys but seeing though u bought a legit pressed version of the loader which contanted sony (c) code which is makeing u as much of a pirate as the peps who made a MC so eather way if u got it from buying it or downloading a MC ver ur still a big ass pirate :D thats like if u bought a copy of a game u are indeed a pirate but wait the section law says as long as u own the origianl to the copy its ok to buy the copy then this means if i own the origianl loader even though it was made from pirated code's by a couple of ps2 hackers i should be able to own a MC version of the same loader but o well no point in disscussing any thing here i will just take the ?'s to the sites that are not up tight about this and there i can get my help and post my results
