Mmmmmm.... it looks like the crack doesn't like XP. I'm running out of things to suggest except the two obvious : 1) wait for a new crack or 2) try Alcohol120%. I know it sucks but I don't see any other options...

Raven Shield is extremly buggy and very picky with hardware/drivers/OS settings etc.

You may send this directly to Ubisoft support. They can provide better help :)

The only alternative is to use the original disc's...which i'm doing in the interm :)

I don't think XP is the problem. I,m running XP on my system with the RVS NOCD and played for 3 hours last night,you might want to check your Via chipset configuration out on your system.Make sure you have ,the lastest sound card drivers and in dxdiag check to make sure they are set on hardware, also check your Video drivers.while you in there,just click on test your DX in all phases it will tell you if you passed the test,if you do you have a problemwith the intall of RVS3 do a clean install if no problem are found in DXDIAG. NO CD is working great. Any chance there will be a LAN Fix soon for 1.41? Or is there one for 1.40 and I haven't seen it yet?

I'm playing without that fix.....from 1.40 and I've got 1.41 and still not playing with LAN fix...so...ther's no need for it.... I wont tell you how you fix it...but one great thing is that you have ORIGINAL CD key... :D

Krondike thanks for the fast if a bit "unfriendly" answer. If you don't want to make one, that's fine.:)

Though I have no idea why you assume that I don't own the game. Did it occurr to you that there may be locations for playing the game where 8 people fit in but no phone line is at hand to get a connection (a cellar eg)?

And I don't want to buy a 30m network cable just because I have to connect to the Internet to play via LAN. This is not a feature this is a "bug"....

Alot of replies on this thread. I'm runnin XP and the crack works fine for me. Make sure you didn't install punkbuster before the patch 1.41. That's the only thing I can think of for ya guys.
