I agree that the bad game selection has the potential to drive Gamecube into the ground.

But you cannot assert that ANYTHING about the XBOX is technically superior. It's the same machine I built for my little brother a few years back, only with a slightly updated graphics card. It's a crappy PC in a shiny black box. That's all it is. One of these days, one of the Project X people will beat the DVD encryption, and we'll just play XBOX games on the PC.

And you know what? I _like_ "kiddie" games. If I want a FPS or a sim or a wargame or a racing game, I'll play one on my PC. If I wanna shoot stuff, smack people around, or play a platformer, I fire up the game console.

Zelda only exists on the GC. Mario, Wario, Starfox, Metroid, Kirby, etc.

Yeah, they're "kiddie". But they're fun.

When I was faced with the choice of only ONE system, I got the PS2. When the GC price dropped, I picked one up.

I will never own an XBOX. There's just no point, since my PC is about 10 times faster/better already, and the XBOX has only been out less than 2 years. *shrug*

I hate XBoX and Bill Gates, PS2 is the best and GC is just crap. I think this is what we can boil this thing down to. After all, what in the hell has this post got to do with the GC - It's a PS2 forum after all! Anyway, speaking of playing MGS2 on an XBoX controller would be an absolute nightmare - they are absolutely awful ( a bit like the console really ) :D

Have you actually played it?

It's a new style, but it's the same game.

Cell shading takes a bit of getting used to but once you do, you begin to enjoy the cartoonish, anime-style graphics. The characters are very expressive. It's like playing a Zelda anime.

I have all 3 systems and if I had to choose of coarse I would take the PS2. The Xbox is alot more fun with the things you can do with it, but u can do it all on a PC.

Obviously u have not played Zelda, it has to be the best game out there now. I had to dust off the GC to play it but I have not turned it off since.
