Greetings - I have recently aquired Sim City 4 - would LOVE to play it on my laptop - but it seems that this latest and greatest 2.80.010 safedisk POS won't let me. I'm glad that others already have a headstart on this... so now - who do I have to bribe to get a utility to get rid of this wrapper? It's quite ugly, will have to search around for some new latest and greatest tools.

Na just use a liteon and alcohol hopefully no patch needed

Alcohol 120%
 

I just made a perfect 1:1 ISO file of Battlefield 19942 which uses SD2 using Alcohol 120%. I loaded the ISO image into my virtual drive and now I can play the game from my hard-drive without the cd. I tried burning it to cd but the disk didn't work. I may not had the settings right or something. But if you looking for a good 1:1 ISO image maker get Alcohol 120%. This is the only program that I have found that worked on this game.

cracks available and as ghosthacker has told me use a

lite on with alcohol 120% with emf encoding off and safedisc

2.8 is smashed so let me see those lite-on's ppl

Well that would be a good idea - but since my drive can't read the drive in the firstplace the image doesn't work either - maybe if I make the image on another computer and transfer it? Ug - it'd just be easier to clean the safedisc off :)

Yes my man..I´ve got a Liteon 24102B and i tested Alcohol120 and made 1:1 copys of game that have SD 2.8 and its works perfect..I use default settings in reading to image but burn from image I set down speed to 8x..very nice program this alcohol is but even better..the Lite-On rocks :)

i'm not surprised with this since bf1942 has sd2.6x protection not sd2.8x protection until u patch it to v1.2


what i'd like to know is why a my backup of bf1942: road to rome installs and runs fine, but when i try to play online it says i need the correct cd.
