I made tinytools for test compression methods in freearc (for save time to edit console batch)and for future problems i was added tinyunpack. if you use script installers made it by (the great) Razor12911 use UltraArc.(verysimple)
About precomp.
packjpg.dll have a limit 2GB, the creator(Matthias Stirner)make this library for JPG images.

so jpeg option off it´s the best way to compress without errors.

WPI script from razor support only Compressor and, btw, UltraARC crash too with precomp most of the time while your compressor do not, that's why I asked.

About the split method I think I understand why it fail, split.exe do not make 2 extractable archives from 1, it just cut the file in 2 and it must be merged again before extraction.

External compressor with split options still very buggy/unusable without merge (split.exe) or unaccurate (threshold method from UltraARC) if you compare it to internal spliccing method.

Unless someone find a way to either use splited (with split.exe) files without merging first or another/new method to accurately split/splice archives most of "non experts" user will still use internal compression.

BTW, unless for very big poorly compressed (by default) files, there is few size difference between internal and external compression most of the time. most of modern games are big but already well compressed by default so you can't expect miracle when repack them, unless stripping sound/languages and videos.

Oh and for the record, yout compression tool work well with WPI script (minus split option of course).

Do you have special installation files for your compression program

you can't extract arc files compressed using external compressor without having properly defined "arc.ini" unless you have the cls
and also when using ISDONE for extraction you have to explicitly define where the arc.ini is (see red part)

i don't think there is a CLs for reflate, so your arc.ini should contain a section for reflate decompression

So if you want to create programs I recommended use Delphi XE 10.2.3 for First learning language that. :D
