the info about file on the gcw is a bit unfull. The guy who provided the information forgot to mention that DATA folder itself has to be copied from the CD/image to the Worms Armageddon's root folder with the override confirmation (better to do it before applying patches). This is important because many nocd suppliers vary in the ways of installation, which make bugs or impossibility to play offline (some ask for the contents to be copied, instead of the folder itself, and some even ask to put into the root of C:, which is the worst, I think). Otherwise, if you don't copy the folder, you won't be able to start a match (and even the mounted CD/Image won't help).
PS: probably once Kawoosh will remake his nocd into a WormKit module (DLL file), which will solve problems like Antivirus false positives (and the possibility to enjoy the original WA.exe at the same time), Universality (to be able to run in both ways - with and without CD/Image), Size (it won't be bigger than 40kB!) Notifications about errors (for example "Oops! It seems like you forgot to copy your DATA folder, and don't seem to have your CD/Image inserted/mounted either...", etc). :) Date is unknown yet |
