Thanks senseman.
Works on Vista 32.

zilong 12-11-2008 03:37

Thanks !! alitayyab !! It's Working !! DVD-1 -> DVD2 ... Perfect !! dosen't have any error msg !!

ravd 14-11-2008 03:41

alitayyab conversion works with labels what he said, atleast on Vista 32bit, no problems at end, uninstall works etc. So my suggested label CODWAW for DVD2 isn't necessary, its not as buggy installer as Quantum of Solace has.

i can burn as data dvd or i need image dvds..?

You don't need to post same thing on every conversion topics, there is own section for these kind of questions

CD/DVD Software & Utilities

i use imgburn (in my opinion best program and i always use this, never had any problems)

Making image or burning from folder using imgburn

i use GAME_NAME as example folder

Start imgburn and select "Create image file from files/folders"

In "Options" tab select File System (i usually use same as original dvd has) or only "UDF" if conversion makes 4GB+ files.

Labels tab write label mentioned in conversions example: GAME_NAME

On the left for source select "Browse for a folder..." and browse to GAME_NAME folder, it will ask if that folder present root directory for the image content, always select "YES" if doing conversion

"Destination" is where you want to make iso or drive for empty disc if output is "device"

Then selecting "Build" it will ask again if that folder present root directory for the image content and it will confirm volume label if you didn't write it in label tab.

I tested alitayyab's conversion on WinXP SP2 and it works fine. Install Sequence DVD1-DVD2. ;)

Edit the file "autorun.inf for "CODWAW_2" (disk 2) as follows:

[autorun]
open=0
icon=CoDWaW.ico

You can put a No-CD/DVD fix on Disk 2 if you wish.

BURN/ CREATING DISCS
Create Image or Burn the Disks using Volume Labels:
Disk 1: CODWAW
Disk 2: CODWAW_2

INSTALL SEQUENCE
Disk 1 -> Disk 2 -> End

install and uninstall working fine.
tested on Xp Service pack 3.

N.B: you can use any iso editor (Ultraiso) to extract files and folders instead of copy all the content of dvd9 (extract following listing in specified folders)

For Italian Version

1 Attachment(s)
OK!!!!
Senseman's conversion works perfectly (install and uninstall tested).
But, for italian version, the CoDWaW.msi must be so modified:

Attachment 591

The installation (DVD1-2-1), i repeat, is exactly like senseman; only msi must be modified.

THANKS, Senseman.:D

Like there is no "Finish" or "View Readme" or anything of that sort? Why does this happen? I dont get any shortcuts or anything of that sort, it just kicks. Help? I am using Win XP Pro x64. THANKS!

that happens if u dont all the files in the root folder of disk #2.

Thanks acrosurfer,

Your method also works for the Italian version of the game (install and uninstall tested by me)

German LastSequence = 178

To find, just open the msi with Orca, then goto "File" in the list, on the right up top click the last barmenu for "Sequence" so they are ordered from 1 to XX then just scroll all the way down to see last one

Maybe you tried too many times. Go to C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information (hidden folder) and delete folder {D80A6A73-E58A-4673-AFF5-F12D7110661F}.
