nope, DEP aint the problem. i tried reinstall and everything. i think ill try the reinstall again...

use virtualcd9 and make "quick" copy of orginal disk in vcd9
replace fixed file for maxi image [available on gc]
and mount "in" first physical drive

played , but time needed [i think i never end that game :/]
but works on 100%

for older works becuase that older version dont change exe and dll

Well, I don't know why, but for me the Razor Fix for 1.12 works fine on my German Version
with ComunityPatch 1.5 (no errors or crashes etc at all)

PAKHAN's v1.1.2 crack works but his 1.5 crack doesnt. i reinstalled a second time and tried out the different cracks (i smoke rocks). v1.5 didn't work, got the same error as before. however, v1.1.2 crack worked though alt-tabbing to the desktop displayed version number v1.1.2 in the taskbar instead of v1.5. Loading screens for the game though had v1.5 on them... i think it skipped the intro movie too... dont know what to say...

Remember, if you use the v1.12 crack instead of the v1.5 crack then you downgrade the game engine (engine.dll). Then there's no point of using the v1.5 patch anymore.

ill take it then that no one knows how to fix my problem with the v1.5 crack. I must ask then, would i get any of the benefits of the v1.5 patch running a v1.12 crack, or maybe even some instability instead? Should i just use the v1.4 patch?

Having a new exe file, that means you won't get anything from v1.5 if you don't have a crack for that version.
Don't skip movies(it will crash at desktop). Otherwise, I've restarted the game with Pakhan's crack and playing i again(going to join the hashishins or the orcs this time).
I have the DEP turned off. If that it's of any relevance.
The 1.5 has a great number of fixes and a bit of optimization. So I'd say it worth the trouble.

no, my DEP was by default set on "Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only."

So this error "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application." still pops up. and its not because of DEP.

let me ask you people something, do you use all the files that PAKHAN provides in his v1.5 crack or just the game,engine, and gothic3 files? The wierd thing is that it pops up twice in a row. I think it might be because there are two messed up files or two incompatabilities. It just a guess.

I tried reinstalling the net framework v1.1 and v2.0, heard it would help with the error, but... its a no go. This sucks. guess ill just have to use v1.4 community patch. I saw the change log for v1.5 and its bigger than all the previous community patches combined.

I noticed i have two microsoft visual C++ 2005 redistributables installed. (gothic installs one during installation). Perhaps i should remove one.

None of these programs are coded in .NET that won't help. Also, if you have two Visual C++ redistributable installed then they're two different (sub?) versions; you can't install the same package twice AND see it displayed in the list of installed programs twice.
