If Steam doesn't have an online check for the game license, then it's easy to bypass Steam running ;) Tried it with Tomb Raider Anniversary. "Steam is not running" <- got over it, and played the god-damned game. Dunno about BioShock. I still am pissed cuz my PC can't handle what this game needs :D

The announced patch will bring some needed optimization. I'm wondering why the beta test department are still kept around in our days, seeing the quality of the released games.

I agree lots of games are supposed to be tested in the beta stage and in the final version are still like beta so this don't seems to serve for much

Kill all the managers and let the developers announce the release date instead, and there you will have well-tested, playable, update-not-much-needing games!
