the so called "crack" is a loader. also rumors say it freezes/crashes at some place when using it. the solid shield protection seems like a though one because all cracks are loaders, not a single rebuilded exe...

I guess VM based protections often take rather long to be cracked properly since you have to analyze their structure etc which can take several weeks or months, depending on the amount of crackers in a group focussing on it.

I dont think "import redirection" (is there one ?) is very ahrd compared to the VM and virtualized code.

The point where it freezes is the scene after Simon meets his double at the road junction. There is a pursuit after that, Simon and his double reach the castle and thats the point where it freezes.

There is an hourglass, a black screen and nothing else happens, even after minutes of waiting.

There is a DVD check, just insert backup DVD and it works.

The game always gets stuck when one clicks to the town gate on the street.

So you may never click to the town gate on the street at present, the Game then immediately hangs itself up!
