Yeah, likewise, I got Civ IV for Xmas and installed it on my laptop, 1.52 was working fine, but I didn't bother bringing the DVD back to college. I tried updating to 1.61, but now it just tells me to insert the Correct CD. I assume the problem is cause I don't have the original copy of the DVD here, so I guess I have to wait til a no-DVD fix comes out for 1.61 to play it again...

I didn't realize the no-dvd had to match the version, is that the problem? Anyone else get it to work? thanks

You do realize that this site isn't the home of world-wide cracking groups, that read these forums and crack games based on your requests, don't you?

@60610: By the way, the forum rules explicitly state that if you don't have the original CD/DVD, because you left it at some other place, then you're not eligible for support on this forum...

rlsuth and Joe Forster/STA, sorry I did not pay clear attention to the rules. Since I do not have my CDs with me, I will have no choice for but wait until college is over to go back home. Thanks for both of your responses.

Anyone having any luck with the Civilization IV 1.61 no dvd patch? Or can anyone help me get it? :confused:

I updated to 1.61, I ripped and mounted my disk using Alcohol 120% and using sd4hide v1.1 - Works great, love the new patch BTW.

I don't see any crack for the 1.61 one... where do you see this? I guess I don't know what "PCGame" is, is it a different site I'm supposed to know about or something?

PCGAME is a crack group that brought out the crack today. It will get on GCW in the next few days, so keep checking the GCW main page.
