It works with FEAR 1.02, i tested it.

I get it now , but this is strange , since I've connected 2 CDs now ( an Asus CD-r and and Acer CD-rom ) and X3 still work

I also tried " Second Sight " which had starforce and Street Racing Syndicate which also had Starforce, all of them worked with and without my cd-roms plugged

but if it DT can play the games with only unplugging ur cd / dvd and without the need for all that sf tools which if u don't mind me saying ... CRAP

then i think it's one step on the future, anyways I am sorry I couldn't help you all as much as I thought I would , I just felt the urge to share this , since I know most of u are hating the **** out of starforce .. :(

it won't bite you , nor HARM u to download a 2mb file and try out for urself ? or simply READ THE REST OF THE POSTS !

it does emulate Starforce , for some ppl ( like me and someother guy ) u dont need to plug before install or even after install , but for the rest , it just replaces all the starforce crappy tools ( nightmare / vcd hide / all that crap ) all u need is unplug cd/dvd , run the game .

I don't own or HAVE :P SSCT , so I wouldn't know .

SR7 STOP and Safedisc Hider can't hide D4 drives
This mean s u can't play SD4.6 or SR7 games
I don't give a **** on using several SF tools but I WON'T unplug my drives
U only can let them connected if they are CD drives and not DVD drives

so I don't know what you're talkin about , you sound like I DEVELOPED dt4 and ur pissed off that i didnt make it do the things u wanted ! I just was lucky enough to find it . blame the authors or wait 14 more days for the official release on The dtools website .

thats right folks, current version of sr7 stop oder sd4 hide doesnt recognize the new virtual drive of daemon tools 4.00 (mostly because the new one uses new names for the ports or something like that) - reinstalled 3.47 just a second ago, works like a charm, luckily i dont have one starforce game i wanna play - means i just dont need the new version ;)

[edit] i have to say that the sr7 games i tried (total overdose + path of neo) also do not work without trying to use sr7stop ;) as someone said here that sr7 games seem to work...

This means that the new daemon tools 4.00 can let me play with games such like FEAR @1.02???

huh? does fear 1.02 have another PROTECTION than 1.00 or what. dont know if it does, read somewhere it works. but then other games dont work (at least till a new sr7 stop or sd4 hide releases that supports the ****ing new version)

If I unplug my DVD recorder (I leave my CD recorder plugged), it works with daemon tools only! it really works, I'm gonna customize this afternoon a team (with spanish names) and I will post a screenshot so you can check it out.

The strange thing is the DVD recorder... I think since its a DVD, StarForce doesnt check the CD recorder... still I couldnt avoid unpluggin the DVD even using SFNightmare. I will make more tests this night to see how can I avoid having my DVD off.
