I understand and I think that too, but at the moment is the most cleen solution for me.

I'll try to take a look at the Q4 mini-image on GCW and do some tryes with some dvd emulators.

Stay tooned. ;)

why dont you try the no cd crack on gcw? :S works for me

BarryB 26-10-2005 10:51

Skulls Mini Image doesn't work with the UK version of Quake 4 in Daemon Tools and neither with using the Win2k compatability trick!

It don't fooking work, but the crack does!

Ain't got a clue mate, I only have the UK version and it don't work with it either by using SR7 Stop, Virtual CD Hide or Skulls SD4Hide and using the Win2k Compatability trick, nothing gets this mini image working with the UK game except using the crack or the original DVD!

Safedisc 4.6 and SecuRom 7 "new" detect mini image cuz it checks the files on DVD. Cuz it's a mini image, the protection can't access any files.

This means U CAN'T play any safedisc 4.6 or new SecuRom 7 protected game with mini image. U need a full image or crack. :(

The no-dvd fixed exe works good.... but if you like, you can use the original dvd image with "SafeDisc 4 Hider ver. 1.0 (21-10-2005)" so to use Quake4 without any crack.

You decide...

Backing up

This is for the guys who are trying to a Backup a copy of Quake 4 as Protected...

If you look at this Topic located here I am sure it will fix your problems & you will not need the Disc, But only if you have the Original Retail DVD version of the Game. If not then BUY IT I did, you will not be sorry.

Did not work for me when I had a go of it, "SafeDisc 4 Hider ver. 1.0 (21-10-2005)" but then again I think it was clashing with something on my PC, but I don't need it now so never really tried again.
