Tell me what you find. I always wondered what Anti-blaxx does, but I am too lazy to load it into a debugger :P.

DABhand 09-10-2005 17:32

Nahhh doesnt matter if anti-blaxx is running or not. Still works for me..

I dunno why it works for some and not for others..im puzzled lol

caki 09-10-2005 17:34

I think the protection randomly checks the first 10000 sectors. For example, a 25 meg mini image from securom works most of the time, and a 8-10 meg one for safedisc is also good. But the key is getting it as small as you can ;).

PS

This conclusion came from a lot of expirimentation with both protections. Sometimes, it even checks game data, but only the beginning.

glenbo 09-10-2005 17:43

i think i know why guys.

lol!

i was one of the idiots when uinstalling anti-blaxx who didnt use the backup afterwards...

and no back up=destroyed daemon toolz..lol

so im using alcohol 120...maybe that is the issue.

i have tried loads to get daemon to even start to install again (deleting reg keys..blah blah..and i dont wanna reformat),let alone work lol! damn i hate that anti blaxx thing.

Had same prob glenbo

Quote:

I just located the last registry entry that caused the problem.

Try to locate the following registry keys and give full access to the SYSTEM account:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\R oot\SYSTEM\000x (the one that contains d347 / if there is none, just do it to all keys)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\D-Tools
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DEVICEMAP\Scsi\Scsi Port x (the one that contains d347 / if there is none, just do it to all keys)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Cr iticalDeviceDatabase\root#d347bus
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\PCI\d 347prt

If that doesn't work, just try to search for anything like d347prt and d347bus in the registry and allow full access for SYSTEM account on the keys.

Worked for me. Enjoy :)

glenbo 09-10-2005 18:03

nice one ill try it now.

did you get this wierd error when trying to install daemon?
were it says unable to unpack installer?(this happens with nothing else)

so i went to there website got a msi version and then installed it...all seemed ok till i rebooted and had all these scsi problems.

ima give that a whirl in reg edit now :P

EDIT:

i was ok until i got to this part...HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enu m\PCI\d 347prt

and it wont let me delete anything iside that folder...
it says..
cannot delete d347prt error while deleting key

glenbo 09-10-2005 18:13

ok i feel stupid now lol...it wasent set right in the permissions,i have deleted it now.

teach me to read more careful lol

JTBurn 10-10-2005 05:38

Thanks for the effort DABhand. Unfortunately, this mini image asks me for the CD.

elwood2 10-10-2005 10:26

dementor 10-10-2005 19:02

The-S-Owl 11-10-2005 04:14

*sigh*

I have said it many times before, but i will say it again:

YOU CAN NOT MAKE A WORKING MINI IMAGE !

Is it so hard to search a forum to see if the same question has been answered before ? Some people ...

dementor 11-10-2005 07:20

I hate to burst your bubble but that has never exactly been said regarding tiger woods 06.

Grumpy 11-10-2005 07:37

@dementor
Hmm, his bubble has not been burst! His comment of "I have said it many times before, but i will say it again:" is very much true! Try looking here, here and here!
Try searching first before commenting on someones input! Until someone comes forward to say they have actually created a mini image from one of the latest Safedisc 4 games then you will either have to create one yourself to see if it does work or you will have to listen to the advice given. ;)
