(by the way, i do have an original cdkey)

I tested all 3 mini images with alcohol as well as with daemon tools (they are all on the newest version).

but as soon as i want to start the game i get a black screen and then.. like after 3 seconds it pops back to my windows desktop....

why ;)

Did you try turning on the Safedisc emulation on Daemon tools?

It's works for me without turning on the Safedisc-Emulation. I just mount the mini-image by BLeH! and start the game.

I have the same problem. The black screen blinks a couple of times then boots me back to the desktop. Used all three mini-images and everything.

then it should also not work with your original DVD.

I'd imagine you are using a refresh rate over rider. I've had the same problem before.

Goto "Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Settings" and open "VideoDefault.con" in notepad.

At the bottom is the line "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0". Change this to "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 1"

That should work. If it doesn't try disabling your refresh rate over rider program.

I have the retail version and updated to v.1.02

I get easily aggravated in having to load up the cd each time so I downloaded the DVD image on here.

Loaded it on Dameon Tools just fine...and it plays fine.

Only problem for me is that during gameplay...the fact i'm playing from a cracked image...it lags up the game for me. I'm not sure why

I'm running AMD Athlon XP 3200+
1 GB DDR RAM
nVidia GeForce FX 6800

any ideas on whats up?

Hmmm I would remove the link you posted, since in that thread there is talk about cracking gamejack. Which is not allowed here.

Using a MiniImage don't make the game cracked !!! You always use the uncracked original exe.
Also with the original dvd, the game only check for it at start of the game.
After that there is no need to have the dvd inserted.
So (i think) the MiniImage can't be the reason for your lag-problem.

Hi there, I'm not really a person who plays alot of game although my friends got me into start playing BattleField 2.

I bought the game from some internetshop and it arrived a couple of days ago, but when I tried to install it it didn't work, and the reason for that was that I don't own a DVD-player. Since this has happened before with other things I knew exactley what to do, I put the DVD in my laptop and shared it over the local area network. Worked fine to install. Although I can't play the game since I need to have the CD in my own computer.

There isn't a NO-CD crack out for this version as far as I know and I really wanna play the game that I have bought. Is there any way of doing this without having to buy a DVD-player? You're talking about some mini-images, what is that? Would that solve my problems?

Mounting a mini-image would solve your problem, yes.

Same problem here to! Black screen and then back to windows :(
Hope there will be a propper no-dvd crack for the 1.03 patch since these mini images dont seem to be working as they should.

Eagle 04-09-2005 04:34

The mini images work like a charm. Often its just a problem with the users hard/software.

They often use outdated versions of Daemon Tools/Alcohol which are detected and blacklisted or the already mentioned 'black screen' error sounds more like a technical driver/setup problem.

Yes, I will agree with that! I have the 1.02 update installed and can still use my mini image mounted in Alcohol 120. ;)
