Cool does it matter if I use daemon tools? Is it still possible to get blacklisted even if your using an official cd key?

GLH 30-06-2005 20:43

Your CD/Serial-Key will not get blacklisted/banned on the gameservers, until it is use by two or more users the same time, or the key is available free in the www.

Could someone please answer his question, because I have the same one. What is blacklisted? I own the original copy of the game, yet prefer not to run it. I use the crack. Before the new update, I had no problem. Everything was working well (I have a legit serial, really is helpful.) Now that I can't use the nocd crack and am forced to use the minidisk, I am also worried about getting "blacklisted".

Blacklisted in terms of gameservers means that a blacklisted cdkey is banned.

ApeXX 07-07-2005 16:39

Ah okay then, thanks for the help. I shouldn't have a problem then.

Enyan 07-07-2005 18:34

and to really answer what blacklisting is in terms of using cd/dvd-images:

a game/application that recognises (/blacklists) software (alcohol, daemon tools, etc.) being used to emulate the original cd/dvd in a virtual cd/dvd-drive

ps.
(I really hope I'm right here, although I'm quite certain I am :P I don't want to be flamed hehe)
