Hi there,
Your problem in this case is the minimal install- For some stupid reason, GTA SA will not run NOCD without that 2gbs of radio stations being present

well i probe with a complete instalation and this Run, it is but not at least it needs to alter the registry

well, all great now here :) :)

only a question more: another program exists that allows to do facilities with high compression and multi-disk, the UHARC is amazing (super high compression) but does not have multidisk option

greetings to all

P.D: sorry to my very bad english not it my native lenguage

The way to do that is to stick the UHA file inside a spanned RAR archive :D I've never got round to trying UHA myself, as in most cases RAR compresses enough for me. Secondly, RAR does a very nice SFX dialouge :D

DVD to CD Conversion

What you need:
-------------
1. Your GTA San Andreas DVD
2. No-DVD crack from gamecopyworld (http://dl.gamecopyworld.com/?d=2005&f=hlm-gtasa!rar)
3. WinRar (www.rarlab.com/download.htm)
4. RegCleaner (www.majorgeeks.com/download460.html)
5. Around 10 GB free hard disk space

A. Preparation
---------------
1. Install GTA San Andreas, choose Complete install
2. Replace original gta_sa.exe with no-DVD crack
3. Install WinRar & RegCleaner
4. Launch RegCleaner and remove GTA SA regkey
5. On RegCleaner go to 'Backup' tab, select removed GTA SA regkey
6. Right click, choose 'View with notepad'
7. In notepad, save the file into GTA SA installation folder with name Gtasa.reg

Oki now..

If I would like to go about something like this with Far Cry is that possible? And if so, how will I know what file/files to remove/backup in RegCleaner (newbie on that program). Is threre a way to know?

Thanx

Pheeewwww!! Easy getting messy with the files there but...
Thanx a bunch grumpy!

It works now. But there are som minor errors I don't know where they come from. For instance; on each disc promt the installer says "please insert disc: license.txt" ( ??!!) and it installs the files backwards (??!!) i.e cab5, cab4 etc. However it doesn't affect the disc order (as i've renamed them) or anything ells of the rest of the installation. I've tested the game a couple of times.

Otherwise, as far as I can see, I did what was said in the referense post, using SDK and changing the msi with Orca in the media tag. Never used none of em before.

Is this somthing that can be done the same way on other games or is this method only unique for FarCry?

Anyway I'm happy as it is - look!! > :):):):):) Again, thanx! :p !

Grumpy 09-01-2006 05:22

If you copy the 'license.txt' to each seperate CD then that 'should' maybe stop that message showing on each disc prompt. (Thats the easy way around it)
The Farcry method wont work for all DVD games but 'should' work for any game which uses an MSI file.
